“10 Minute Daily Action Injection”

I’m doing a little experiment, that you might like.

For the rest of this week and all of next week, I’m going to do a 5-10 minute “mental focus” teleseminar. Every day at 11am Central Time.

I will share ONE thought that you can take action on and be encouraged by. A 5-minute picker-upper. Or maybe a story or a really short interview with someone interesting.

Lately I’ve been running across a lot of people who are feeling discouraged and this is one way I can do something about it.

Time: 12pm Eastern, 11am Central, 9am Pacific, 5pm London . (See www.time.gov for time zones.)

Dates: Thursday August 12, Friday 8/13 and Monday-Friday August 16-20.

Dial in number: (+1) 646-519-5860
Caller Pin – 1596 followed by the # sign

MP3′s will be posted for Renaissance Club members and above.

For now this is an experiment. Depending on how this goes, maybe I’ll keep going.

Talk to ya then!

    Great idea Perry,
I think we could all use some good news and inspiration these days!

I certainly could use a little positive inspiration to motivate me into action…

    Looking forward to the calls,

    Phil

Thanks – I will most definitely be more deliberate. I waste a lot of time some days by losing focus.

Great call, thanks! It reminds me of what Covey says in the 7 Habits and Sharpening the Saw. A few minutes a day to get refocused, to sharpen the saw, is very productive.

Nice call Perry. I appreciated that you offered 5 things in place of the 5 time wasters and will never forget “Wasting time = Killing eternity”

    Thanks,

    Joe A.

Very Nice Perry! Short and to the point, yet extremely powerful message that hit home with me as I tend to procrastinate and not make the most of my spare time and then I complain about not having enough time. The 5 things to do is great and I plan to keep that list in my BlackBerry to remind me of what I should be doing when I’m tempted to procrastinate. Looking forward to the rest of these calls…I’m hooked.

Perry Great Idea, I was a few minutes late and missed the call. I hope you provide a replay of the daily injections.

Thanks Bryan & Perry, I like this format. I think a lot of what was talked about today, and really, what most people (including myself) struggle with are effective time management systems. Time, like money, is finite. We need to be able to manage it effectively or it will run out rather quickly.

    Hi Perry,

Great points today. You focused on how the importance of making a difference in the life of another. How huge that is. Isn’t it true that we do our best when we help others. I have two things:

1.) My brother was a drug addict. He came clean with the help of NA and spent the rest of his life as part of the solution rather than the problem. I have a whole story about my brother (who has since passed away) but the point is that when we help others we truly help ourselves.

2.) I had a teacher who made a difference in my life too. Mr. Hurst at Morton East HS in Cicero. He was a history teacher who always told us the “back stories”. I had ZERO interest in history until I spent one year in his class. But more important in my life, one of his small compliments to me while we were on a field trip was never forgotten. He complimented my shyness in a way that turned it into quiet self confidence just by some statements that he made. It was a bit of magic and was the beginning of me changing forever. So you’re right about how small conversations can change lives.

Thanks again. Great 10 minute boost.

    Joe
