From Divorce, Bankruptcy & Foreclosure to Liberation: 1 year

In 2011 Tim got divorced; experienced a foreclosure and filed for bankruptcy.

Lost friends. Experienced the death of a close mentor. Was depressed, struggled with faith. Asked himself “Who the hell am I?”

Last year he drank a lot.

Then… experienced a *major* breakthrough at a deep, personal level. Broke the six-figure barrier, is earning a record income and experiencing deal flow that is, in his words, “insane.”

The solution? It had nothing whatsoever to do with marketing. (His turnaround was part of the inspiration for my Financial Sozo workshop that’s coming up June 1-2). Listen to Tim’s story, which he told in Roundtable this past Wednesday. 20 minutes long:

    Perry:

I am so broke I can’t afford catfood for my cats. I am seriously depressed, about to lose my home, and struggling beneath a Titanic load of debt. Got caught in a scam and have applied to Social Security Disability because the stress is causing me a world of muscle weakness, fatigue, and pain.

I’ll make you a deal, because I have nothing more to lose at this point, if you help me turn this around I will be a poster girl for your program. I have no experience with any of this but with some mentoring I bet I might be able to do it. What do you say? Please help me. I am a hard worker and love to learn.

I would encourage you to start with either of Stephen DeSilva’s books; check http://www.ibethel.org for Sozo CD’s/DVD’s and look for a church near you that administrates Bethel Sozo.

    Well done Tim!

Listening to this, I was interested to hear him speak of how he dealt with his fears. He challenged one a day, every day. He whittled away and worked at them. Sure, he would always backtrack. These things take a lot of time and a lot of effort to overcome.

The fact that he did proves that it can be done.

That tiny snippet of advice is where I am at for the next year in clearing out my own patch. All thanks to the generosity of someone who was prepared to stand up and speak about their failures – and what they learned from them.

Perhaps, Perry you should do a repeat on your “well, it is 88 days into the year, what have you achieved” – should you perhaps do a “what have you learned so far this year”? Any entrepreneur will have a list. Guaranteed.

Having gone through a major life change in recent years, I can relate to many aspects of your post. I am not a Christian and cannot relate to the references to Christ, yet the lessons shared resonated at a deep level. Perry, thanks for sharing someting so powerful for all to embrace.

Mitch, great to hear from you and great to catch up with you a few weeks back.

Good stuff, as a Christian, who is also an avid sinner I find it refreshing that there is someone who doesn’t try to make everyone feel guilty about being human (especially when it comes to sex and money).

God is our Father, and he didn’t put us on Earth to suffer. Connecting with him is surely a smart thing to do if you want a break through.

I won’t be able to attend this very program – but you know you are literally changing lives with the free stuff that you’re giving out.

    Thank you Perry.

I hear the disaster stories like this all the time in my business. It’s nice to hear someone who turned it around.
