I am not an AdWords expert, but am well up the curve. So it was with a healthy does of scepticism that I approached the Maui Digital Seminar.

Several days later, after viewing the videos and receiving the presentation decks, I have drunk the proverbial “Kool-Aid”. Its good stuff. Your head might whirl a little, but you’ll pop that AdWords Editor with renewed energy and vitality, well armed with new ideas and resources.

3 Very Simple Takeaways/Reaffirmations from Maui:

    1) Running A Little Faster is much easier than get Getting Out of Bed.

Momentum is a truly precious resource and needs to be managed closely.

    2) You test things by throwing traffic at them and watching what happens – Jonathan Mizel.

Once traffic shows up, every new venture is proven on it’s own merit.

My Official “Back From Maui” Implementation Anthem:

    Lateralus By Tool

(The ultimate geeklectic heavy prog-rock epic complete with fibonacci syllable patterns and time signatures.)

I think this should be the official anthem of Planet Perry – “We’ll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one’s been. Spiral out. Keep going, going…”

    YouTube Fibonacci Explanation:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wS7CZIJVxF

    Complete Lyrics:

Black then white are all I see in my infancy.
red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me.
    lets me see.
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn beyond the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.
Withering my intuition, missing opportunities and I must
Feed my will to feel my moment drawing way outside the lines.

Black then white are all I see in my infancy.
red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me.
lets me see there is so much more
and beckons me to look through to these infinite possibilities.
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn outside the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.
Withering my intuition leaving all these opportunities behind.

Feed my will to feel this moment urging me to cross the line.
Reaching out to embrace the random.
Reaching out to embrace whatever may come.

    I embrace my desire to
feel the rhythm, to feel connected
enough to step aside and weep like a widow
to feel inspired, to fathom the power,
to witness the beauty, to bathe in the fountain,
    to swing on the spiral
of our divinity and still be a human.

With my feet upon the ground I lose myself
between the sounds and open wide to suck it in,
I feel it move across my skin.
I’m reaching up and reaching out,
I’m reaching for the random or what ever will bewilder me.
And following our will and wind we may just go where no one’s been.
We’ll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one’s been.

    Spiral out. Keep going, going…

Ordered the CD. I’m sure I will like it….

I think you’re on an upward spiral, it’s been interesting watching you grow.

I attended the Maui Seminar & was absolutely blown away by the speakers and the attendees

I’ve got a notebook packed with notes & I’m still going through the slides – 2 weeks later! (I have a feeling this is going to take me a while)

Absolutely phenomenal conference put on by Perry & Co. Well done.
