The #1 paying skill on the Internet

Dozens of skills come in handy when you sell online: Video, programming, graphics,? proficiency with all sorts of traffic, schmoozing vendors and JV partners, pulling off teleseminars and webinars… the list is endless. Bewildering, actually.

But there is one skill that absolutely trumps them all.

That skill is:

Persuasive writing.

Even if your forte is video, somebody has to write a script and somebody has to give the video a name and description that convinces somebody to click “play.”

After you have this one skill under your belt, your entire life becomes easier. You have a built-in competitive advantage in *every* situation you put yourself in.

And it’s kind of like riding a bicycle. Once you have it, it’s yours. It becomes “muscle memory” and no matter what you say or do, people pay more attention to you than everyone else.

I’ve never met anyone who regretted polishing this skill.

This isn’t for *everybody.* There are exceptions. Some people are terrible writers, know they’re terrible writers, hate writing. Those people wouldn’t still be reading this anyway.

Also, if English is your 2nd language I think it’s much better to hire a native English copywriter than try to write copy in a language that’s not your own.

That said, for most people a crash course in persuasion has an insanely high payoff.

There are TONS of writing gurus and teachers out there. But when I needed to take my own writing to a higher level, I went to John Carlton. I’ve been thankful I did that ever since.

John has reduced the mystery of persuasive writing to a 17 point formula called the Simple Writing System. I’ve had a bunch of students go through it and they ALL rave about it.

I’ve never had a single person say “I enrolled in John’s Simple Writing System and it was a waste of money.” Because there’s a “boiling point” above which your sales messages slice through the marketplace like a knife through butter.

It impacts your videos, sales letters, blog posts, emails, Facebook posts, tweets… everything.

John offers a very reasonable guarantee and I strongly encourage you to examine this offer:

John and I did a writing & persuasion teleclinic quite some time ago that people still buzz about. Listen to it and download 3 swipe files here:

    Perry,
I am a total fan of yours, and John Carlton’s too, for that matter, and I heartily agree with what you are saying about persuasive writing. However, a generalization that a person who speaks and writes English as a 2nd language is not recommended to become a copywriter on his or her own right, is just plain wrong. I know plenty of people who are exceptionally good at writing English, even though it is their 2nd language, and I can’t see any problems them becoming good copywriters if they so desire.

On the other hand, if you do not understand the culture or have an in-depth knowledge of those people you are trying to persuade, I’d say you will have a problem even if you are a native English copywriter.

    Allright, my 2 cents worth…
    Thanks
    Harry
