We now have a “Social Media Expert” almost literally on every street corner.

But while everyone else was tweeting about it, David Bullock went DEEP. He exhaustively catalogued of Barack Obama’s social media campaign on his hard drive. While it was happening, in real time, before it disappeared forever.

He then published an extensive paper about this, which quietly gained him the attention of elites in Washington DC, academia and Big Business. He is now doing high end consulting gigs with some of the most influential people in the world – including gubernatorial campaigns and strategy sessions with *both* parties.

So while all the alleged “experts” were twittering about “building relationships,” David Bullock was proving his expertise to the movers and shakers of the 21st century.

I interviewed David about this and if you’re serious about making Social Media *really* work for your business, you gotta listen to our conversation:

This is the best thing I ever listened to about marketing!

There was also an article on the Google Website Optimizer blog about how Obama’s team used data and GWO to win the election. Fascinating stuff!

I had the great pleasure of meeting David at StomperNet Live back in August of last year. He even autographed a copy of his book for me and we took a photo together.

I would encourage anyone reading this to listen to this entire audio as I did and take notes.

This has to be one of the best interviews I have heard in a very long time and certainly the best within the Internet Marketing arena.

I love the idea of the “Temporary Collapsing Market” concept David talked about.

Another cool nugget I picked up is how David said he is moving within 3 verticals simultaneously. That’s very powerful!

David, I am getting on your list as well and something I should have done long ago. I am too a contrarian and I am certain I can learn a ton of stuff from you.

Thanks Perry for this gem. I am also downloading this audio for future reference because there is a lot to be learned just within this audio itself.

Hi David, You did me a BIG sometime ago regarding, “Want to Get on the Six O’clock News?”

You are now out front with “a whole new world of media, Social Media.”

David, seizing the moment and documenting Obama’s Social Media Strategy shows insight. However, identifying, tagging and articulating the various outstanding elements of this benchmark Social Media event highlights pure genius.

You provide undeniable evidence of social networking sites raw power, acceptance and future in President Barack Obama’s successes with social networks and social networking.

Therefore, the question isn’t whether “free advertising on the Internet can reap big rewards”, but rather, will others skillfully use it for small business or middle class career and also achieve what they want like, social network and internet advertising for profit biggest star, President Obama.

    Great listen, Perry and Dave.

I’m sure I’ll have to go back and listen through it again and take notes this time. (At least once, probably more).

Gotta love it when people make your head spin with possibilities. But I don’t feel alone as Dave seemed to rock you back on your heels a bit as well, so I’m in good company.

David threw out so much information all at once it was like being fed soup with a snow shovel – just too much to consume in one setting. His book is definitely on my “to be read” list.

I heard David speak at Jerry West’s Rainmaker Event in Orlando last year. He wasn’t selling anything in terms of a product from the stage. Over a lobster bisque, however, I got totally hooked on his long-term plans – his strategic way of thinking outside the box. Frankly, it was a moment of significance. I’ve been keeping tabs on David ever since and applying his advice to my business. He is one heck of a smart guy …
