I have a FB profile for myself and I want to set up a fanpage for my business. I would like to keep the two fairly separate – can I do this/should I do this.
Thanks for the video – love what you did,,, looking forward to the next one.
Linda thanks for the comment.
I want everybody to know that I REALLY appreciate all the feedback and questions. I’m busy making videos 2 & 3 so I can’t respond to each here. BUT…the videos are designed to answer some of your questions AND…I’m going to release another video that answers the most commonly asked questions we’ve received here. We’ll call that video #4. This video should be up sometime late tomorrow so keep your eyes out for it.
As long as you’ve opted in on this page: http://www.perrymarshall.com/facebook/facebook-presentation-from-maui/
You’ll be notified when the next videos are up. If you haven’t opted in…well, what are you waiting for?!
Talk soon,
Drew
This sound good to me i am looking forword to your next videos.
There was some very fundamentally good information in this video! Information that is key to success on Facebook. There is no other platform out there that is like Facebook.
He clearly stated that this first video was about the 16,000 foot view!
As a marketer you have take some time and step back to understand what your moving into in order to keep from wasting your time and of course money!
Good stuff!
Peter
You can go straight to this page to watch videos 2 & 3: http://www.perrymarshall.com/facebook/video-3/
Then click the link under video 3 to optin to be able to immediately listen to the Q&A call replay. All you have to do is optin, then click the Play button near the top of the page.
Drew
What is the best way to throttle back the FB spend rate as you are getting the ROI up to the profitable level?
Everything sounded great…. where is the next vid?
Watch your email or see the link to optin elsewhere on this page. The next one comes out tomorrow as long as my video camera keeps working. (wink)
great comments…thanks for your candor
sounds great looking forward to next one
Thanks for the great video, my biggest question is how to get more of likemind people to my view. everyone seem to be forever talking about themselves.
Hey Guys,
You’ve definitely caught my attention with this video.
I’ve got a new product that we’re offering for $1,191.00, and the initial testing of our sales model has gone REALLY well.
I want to start ramping things up as quick as possible, and use as many platforms as I can.
I don’t know the first thing about using Facebook, and would like to explore this option.
But…
I can’t afford to invest a lot of my own time in learning all the ins and outs.
Is it unreasonable for me to think that I could hire someone, work with them on some level in order to educate myself so that I can at least make inteligent decisions, but let them handle things for the most part?
Kevin
Help! I am new to Facebook. O own a new restaurant and want to create a page and start marketing my business.
excellent insight. looking forward to the next video
Good video — I understand the concept… my biggest question is the payperclick structure of FaceBook accounts… do they allow ad split testing, is it easy to edit ads, change the demographics, etc… in other words are they comprable to Google in that regards, in a differetn way, obviously.?????
Sorry to break in here — I know I’m not Drew, but you should be able to split test in Facebook ads very easily. If you go into the create ad page, you can create 2 ads that go to the same market demographics. Put in the same bid and how much you’re willing to spend each day. And change the one thing that you want to test. Facebook tells you your cost per click and how many clicks you got each day for each ad. They also tell your your cost per impression (how many times the ad was shown).
Great and True Points. I have contemplated going this route on a venture related to philanthropy but you are right that it can be applied to other product areas. Thanks.
Can you run a successful social marketing program without having to constantly be social or hire it all out?
-Lee
P.S. Because I saw this video through Perry Marshall’s e-mail I automatically see you guys as having a possibly incredible course for Facebook advertising.
How do I target the right audience on Facebook?
Very Good Video…
Biggest Question: How do we target the audience within FB? If we sell dentures, how do we have our ads show up on an FB account for someone who is at least in the correct age group? Makes no sense having a denture ad show up on a 18-yr olds home page.
Second biggest question: Using the “tribe” marketing strategy, how do we re-structure the sales process funnel?
-Establish Tribe / Community Connection
-Interested
-Gathering Info (? Survey ? FB Network Votes?
-Shopping (? convenience of transaction ? )
-Buy (? Support a larger cause, be apart of larger group who’s values you align with ?)
Your video is thought-provoking…mind shifting.
Thanks,
Joe
Great video. Can’t wait for the next one. You want questions, here’s one: How do use FB to promote my business market locally?
Very interesting Vlogarticle… Keep them coming!
Cool thoughts.. Waiting to hear more.
I guess my biggest question at this point would be if running a successful business is fundamentally about establishing and maintaining profitable customer relationships and Facebook is the largest social networking site by far.. Should Facebook be seen as an integral part of our business from the very start?
I would like to get a copy of your free mini-course
Great video! My question about Facebook PPC is:
“Do I have to have an item of value to give away in order to achieve an opt-in? In other words, would I need to give away free e-books, video, etc., to have my campaigns approved on Facebook PPC?”
Thanks for this awesome information. Looking forward to the next video.
Pablo Gonzalez
It took a while for the video to load. Also, the video and this comment box below it appear to be offset to the right of your header area of your website. I am using the latest Firefox browser…. Just trying to help….
I have FireFox but use Google Chrome as well. With Google Chrome, it sets up quick and just fine layout. Of course a new MacBook Pro might be part of the reason also.
I hope you will address business-to-business marketing as well as B2C. Among friends and clients that I have surveyed, no one sees Facebook as a tool to reach business customers.
Thanks
email sounds interesting, but the video not found or access denied in other words it doesn’t work
Rich,
Try again. The server might have been busy.
IS it possible to advertisr on facebook(now, andin the future when the competition greatly increase) without always having to monitor your ads and the results and the competition on facebook non stop?
The last thing i want is to become a “technician” in a never ending war that i always have to constantly worry about and that i monitor day in day out, every day, all of the time.
My biggest question is how to find and target prospects when the hundreds of conventional keywords for my niche that show up in the Google keyword tool have absolutely no bearing on Facebook.
You’ve got my attention.
No questions at this point. I’m all ears.
Can you use facebook to sell affiliate products??
Great video Drew!…Look forward the others.
Can you put a cap on your daily bids, like on
adwords?….and can you also do direct linking?
Thanks,
Ron
Great stuff….
We have a “profile” customer, but as I dig thru FB interests, I’m having a hard time indentifying this customer….how do you determine the psychographics of a client?
Great Video, thanks very much. I loved the location changes – kept it really interesting. I’m really excited about facebook advertising and have been trying it out with some success.
I have two questions – language – is the default English US? I’m targetting UK Expats in Singapore, how sure can I be that they have actually chosen English UK a the correct language.
Next Question, when I target people with a particular interest or that belong to a group – is this an AND or OR query going on in the background. So for example if I choose poeple who like Jimmy Choos and Sex and the City – do they have to like both, or is it one or the other or both
Thanks very much!
Drew– Thank you for the concise and powerful message on Facebook traffic. Coming from the Perry Marshall school of thought on traffic, it’s time to pay attention and get aboard while it’s still not hyped to the heavens. Thanks Guys.
Hello Drew,
Your info. so far is very revealing and I am enjoying this. I look forward to the continuation.
Thank you and keep the dream alive.

Do you have any proof that you have a good CTR on facebook ads (i think the good ctr in fb is >0,4%),in the US of course, and you have a cheap cpc, I want a proof of screenshot. Because I have spend my fb ads coupon and have CTR only 0.09% and $0,6 cpc, Thanks
.
Great intro video! Seems like women marketers should shine in the FaceBook marketing arena that you describe since women are naturally about relationships and connecting than many men are in this space. Can’t wait to watch the next one! Thank you, Drew.
Thanks for the video – I look forward to viewing the next one. I am looking towards Facebook for future advertising so this could not have arrived at a better time. What intrigues me most is the comment you made about doing this without a website. Although I run several sites in different niches the idea of being able to avoid the building process (which is so time consuming) is uber appealing. Keep up the good work.
Hi Drew, great video btw. I’m wondering if Facebook would work for me. I’m just trying to get buyers of commercial real estate to sign up for my buyer’s list. I have a partner with porperties available and a link to that website. I already took the eval quiz but I wanted to ask more specifically with regards to comm. real estate. We’re talking about buyers that would be capable of buying million dollar properties. Is Facebook something worth trying to market to? I’m also aware of real estate websites available for social networking, but they don’t have the audience that Facebook does.
Thanks.
My biggest question is:
What should a newbie do, when he wants to use Facebook PPC to make money online?
Norbert
skype: norbert.kujan
Great video! The library/coffee shop analogy really helped me understand the difference b/w FB and Google. I’d love to hear more about how we can become part of our client’s community.
Drew,
This video was well done. You made some excellent points about the mindset of a facebook user that most marketers fail to pay attention to. I look forward to your next video.
John
Great video – look forward to the rest of the series.
With 27 different targeting options how many should I use when multi-layering my campaign?
Drew,
Thanks buddy.
Great stuff, look forward to hearing more.
Best,
Scott
What do yo you recommend for real estate marketing. I have tried pay per click and wasnt having results like on google or yahoo. I would be interested to learn more. Thanks
Steve
Fantastic video with great information.
I do see the value in connecting in the FB environment.
I don’t socialize online outside of the Internet Marketing community as I’m pretty paranoid about any real, genuine conversations with others being tagged and potentially used or viewed out of the context in which I may have expressed my thoughts.
Thus my main question or issue would be the following:
What has stopped me from joining this community altogether however, is not knowing how to manage different niches as a micro niche product site builder for vastly unrelated industries within Facebook without appearing unauthentic.
Entertaining, refreshing approach. The appeal that speaks to the potential buyers interests, in their language, is the approach that makes sense to me. No matter what we sell the trust factor is something that must be earned. It’s great to appeal to distinct appetites. The challenge with some ‘merchandise’ is that it may be so closely focused that all you (I’m) really are looking for is one buyer…It would be great to have a team of salespeople though!
This looks to be great stuff. I am excited to see the next installments!!
nice video – great concept – looking forward to follow up videos
Great video – love the style of what you have produced there and it really got my attention.
I have an advert poised to go – just getting a free report ready to give away, which is now nearly finished.
So I’ll wait until I get the next couple of videos from you before I make it go live.
My question is: Would FB be a good place to advertise Fundraising Training for Not-For-Profits? This is not me self promoting, this is me asking what I believe to be a genuine question – I see all sorts of other things being sold on there but have never seen anything specifically focused on the nfp sector.
Thank you – Sarah Jayne (UK)
Hey, I’m John from Texas and an complete nubee to Marketing but wanted to share my personal experience. I’m not big into F.B. but have confirmed about 85 people as “friend” on there and am constantly getting request to watch this video about this cause or join this group to end _____ “fill in the blank”. If people really feel touched by your cause, it will go viral quickly.
This was Awesome!!! Please send me more info. Thank you very much!
Vinny
What type of products sell the best on facebook? Do you have a list to start with?
M Madden
Drew, Really uncovering the FB “truth” is a winner for all the aspiring marketeers like myself. Of course the impact will be spread to all new and old economy veterans alike.
Expecting to hear more from your findings and valuable formulas.
Blessings.
Looking forward to the next videos.
I guess I don’t get it. If my hypothetical friend that loves camping comes online to interact with his friends on Facebook, there is little guarantee that he will even notice the add for camping gear, amongst many other adds in the right hand column. Right? I don’t get it.
He is coming online exclusively to yak with his friends.
Regards – Larry
How?
Beautiful video with very sensible ideas!
As an author, a lot of the advice I’m hearing (teet! blog! comment!) feels overwhelming and seems like a lot of effort for perhaps little return.
As a speaker, I know that I need to establish a sense of “we” with my audience immediately (i.e., I’m one of them; I respect them and understand their needs and concerns), or they won’t be interested in what I have to say. So, your perspective makes a lot of sense to me.
Looking forward to watching the next video!
Great video, thanks Drew.
The library and coffee shop analogy is so cool..look forward to your following videos..thanks for throwing light on facebook for the uninitiated.
Johneal
Thanks, Drew, for an informative and ENTERTAINING video!
I run two types of businesses… one where I sell products (mostly digital) for anyone in the world to purchase and the other where I need local people to walk through my doors.
Will you talk about the different strategies (if the are different) for local versus global advertising using FB?
Peace,
Lisa
i like your presentation i love to learn more to get more knowledge from you teaching in order to improve in my business .
I set up one facebook ad. They have never run it yet (no impressions). I just got billed by them. What’s up with that?
Excellent video! Far superior to almost any I’ve seen in this niche: different and varied settings, cool tricks.. A+!
..not to mention the great info provided!
I’m pleased to learn that it is possible to make money through Facebook without having to spend time actually on the site as I always feel that visiting it is like dropping into a party to meet someone and finding that you can’t have a serious conversation because the host is determined to ‘make everyone jolly’. It’s very tiresome!
BTW, an observation about Twitter: since I discovered how to automate posting my blog posts to Twitter at the time of posting them, I’m not visiting it or reading other people’s posts. If ‘lots’ of people are doing that, then Twitter is rapidly becoming a dialog of the deaf.
very interesting
To start, great video! You’ve obviously spent a great deal of time figuring out this piece of the puzzle – the dual persona clip was the first I’ve seen outside of Hollywood.
Can you address local, brick and mortar business marketing. Real estate agents, chiropractors and plumber type ads. Does it take a full time person to work this small segment of the marketing budget?
From your earlier audios, others mentioned how to bid and link the ads back to FB pages,is there a secret sauce for the images or the wording to reflect the “I’m in your group – come check this free offer out.”
Can I create a successful FB campaign in a set it and forget it style? How much Tweeking will I spend (spilt tests, conversion monitoring, ect.) before I know I have a winner?
Finally, it seems I must identify my “ideal” client/customer demographics. True with any business. Do you have a tool or methodology to capture that information from inside FB? From outside FB? And are the two sources internal FB demographics different from the”in my business” demographics? Sorry about the crazy question, I know it seems straight forward, I just wonder what your research suggests.
Sorry for the long comment. Thanks for the insights!
This makes sense to me. I’m looking forward to hearing more. One thing I’d like to know more about is the psychology of the fans. What they want, who they trust, how I can help them..things like that.
I am curious as to how detailed the demographics can get in Facebook……I have several demographics of my typical customers and would like to know how close I can get to that optimal buyer. Facebook seems to me that you have to get inside the heads of your potential customers and approach them….not let them find you like in Adwords. Looking forward to learning more.
OK, I’m not sure which of the Drew’s I’m supposed to ask . . . but here goes.
How do I estimate how big and profitable a niche is in FB?
One of the Google hoops you have to jump through is the size of the niche, and how much people spend for information in that niche.
In Google, I don’t want it to be so small and specialized that there’s not enough traffic. I don’t want to be so big and competitive that I beat my head against the wall. And I don’t want to find a niche that has all the information you’d ever want for free.
So, for instance, if I wanted to learn a kettlebell exercise, All I have to do is type a search on Youtube and have it demonstrated for me. NO ONE is going to pay for that information if they can get it for free.
How would I evaluate the profitability of a niche for Facebook?
Who do you think has had the most effective FB ads nationally?
I am looking forward to your next video
Great quality video,Drew. Yes I recognize that Facebook is a huge source for marketing but I remain confused how to attract and interest these people. Hopefully your next video will give more “how tos”.
I saw lots of FB potential in 2008. Then my research turned up a list of their directors and one (maybe more) were former CIA executives. Having lived in a communist country — that really turned me off because I don’t want even a drop of personal data ANYWHERE.
NONETHELESS, your video was a hit. You’re very GOOD. Hmmm, although I kept thinking when is his “shoe going to drop” in other words, I’m a captive audience and at some point having made a PERFECT sales pitch in the form of your videos, you want my money for SOMETHING OR THE OTHER!
I did buy Perry’s book several months ago but was not aware at the time I ordered it that it is about me SPENDING money. When I bought it, I thought it was about “AdSense” – not – “AdWords.”
For whatever it’s worth, you’re talented in one direction and I in another! I admire what you are able to do. Good show, thanks.
That was clear, concise and helpful. Looking forward to seeing nos 2 & 3.
Thanks.
No burning questions yet.
WOW Drew! Thanks for packing so much info into this short video. My mind is racing with too many questions to post. I can’t wait until the next video. Sounds like Facebook is the rainbow leading to a real pot of gold.
Side note: What is the cool artwork behind the couch? Thanks again, Bob
Bob,
You’ve got a keen eye! I wondered if people would notice all the little visuals we included. That’s a framed picture of this really cool “lego-like” land where all the buildings have web and social media properties with their logos on it. I’ll try to get a picture of the whole thing and post it for you. We shot most of the video at a company called Gowalla, they have an iPhone app and I’m friends with the owner and staff. Its their picture, I thought it was cool so I threw it into the video.
Nice presentation. I’m new to facebook pay per click ads but I threw a few ads together, got some clicks and thens of thousands of fairly well targeted impressions.
Comment: I asked a question through some contact portal in the facebook ads area and a very thorough response came back. So I’m just saying that they are very willing to help you along.
So my question to you: should I try to make as many people friends as possible on facebook? For example, where I get “friend suggestions” where certain people are recommended because they’re friends of my friends. do you recommend I send all these people frineds requests?
Okay…you got me…can’t wait to see the next video…yes, this is cutting edge….
Lisa,
Its cutting edge stuff. I’m really glad you like it!
Great Stuff…Looking forward to your next video. Cool backgrounds, makes for interesting visuals. Thanks!
Why do you force me to ask a question to opt-in to your free mini-course? I don’t have a question about FaceBook other than the one you are address…. “How do you make a buck on FaceBook?”
Great overview of what makes Facebook different. Looking forward to your next video.
what is the name of the actor in this video?? Monte
His name is Drew…that would be me!
Hi Drew:
I thoroughly enjoyed the information presented on this video. Like many entrepreneurs, I became frustrated trying to figure out how to market on Facebook. It was not until I realized that people do not use Facebook to “solve a problem” that I saw the light, albeit a different one. So, I put my entrepreneur mind into high gear, and co-created an Internet community designed specifically to bring small business owners and consumers together through the power of referral marketing. We will be launching in approximately two weeks.
I share this with you because someone who now occupies the same field as Perry Marshall, will soon become known as the expert on how to market with WhoYa.net. I would like it to be you and Perry.
If you are interested in exploring this, feel free to give me a call at 214 995-7238 or email me.
Thanks again.
How does one identify the social site keywords
that attract an audience that will buy?
(is it about locking in on emotional keywords
used by folks like them? )
I enjoyed your video. A refreshing change from the usual. Looking forward to more.
My biggest unknown with making a facebook ad is probably making a good landing page. But really, the whole process is one I know little about.
Is it possible to put opt-in forms directly on Facebook?
What’s the most cost effective way to build a list using Facebook?
Hi Drew….Great introduction video…thanks. I did not have a problem creating and getting my ad approved on Facebool..My Challange is this:
When a person clicks on my Facebook ad “Health and Prosperity” they are automatically re-directed to my website “healthandwealthfortune.com” which triggers an email to me with the that persons email address and other information.
In my test….I received 40 clicks on my Facebook ad and not ONE email notification of traffic on my website.
Is Facebook RIPPING ME OFF? When I click on the ad as a test….I received the notification of traffic.
What is wrong….I NEED YOUR HELP AND YOUR COURSE.
THANK YOU
LARRY JUSTICE

Just wondering how to get the follow-up videos?? I’m an unsophisticated newby……
Great question Greg, if you saw this video it should be because you got an email from Perry about it. If that’s the case you’ll be getting an email tomorrow about where to watch video’s #2 & #3. If a friend gave you a link directly to this video then you’ll need to optin here to get the rest of the videos: http://www.perrymarshall.com/facebook/facebook-presentation-from-maui/
(we’ll also be adding an optin form to this page later in the day and either place you optin will work)
I wrote a book to help people save money on medications. When I talk to people they seem interested in it but I have only sold 2 copies online. Is this something I can market effectively on facebook?
I can’t wait for the next video.
I am so stoked about your information! I am a new internet entrenpeur and know so very little about internet marketing I dream about being a poster child of internet marketing. Thanks for your information.
I just started online a little over a month ago. I am a internet network marketer. I find it hard to focus on a feasible and profitable strategy as newbie as it is so many ways to market and so many people on the net saying do this and do that to generate leads and cashflow. However, I want to know what strategy do a newbie to the whole internet marketing used in facebook ppc without experiencing total financial detriment? I never did google adwords before. A few month ago I tried FB ads and did not get one lead from my ad as I did not know what I was really doing—I did not have any strategy. I am looking for something feasible for a complete novice to do without having to keep going all over the place buying products to find missing pieces.
Great video!
Love your unique approach and tactics in this video. I already can see that you know what you are doing (especially with your video marketing). You’ve got the psychological triggers. Compelling story, casual (not formal) demeanor, apparent spontaneity, Unique selling proposition, etc.
Can’t wait to what else you’ve got.
I can’t seem to get any trasction with facebook, call me old, or over the hill, but getting friends and recognizing how to deal with them is difficult. How do I get started making a platform to market my aquarist book?
My biggest question is how to use PPC on Facebook for local small businesses, like plumbers, accountants, etc.
Ok, Facebook is mostly about chat and light interaction; so how would technical goods and services be “successfully” marketed there?
Very intriguing and compelling! I certainly don’t want to miss the train this time. Have invested too much time and money and need to stay ahead of the game. Please keep me posted.
It seems to me marketing on FB is no different than marketing in person in a coffee shop. Maybe I should just hang around Starbucks and talk to people. Hey, what a concept, talking to people. Whoaaaaaa. Maybe I am onto something here.
like this video
i’m interested in knowing where you send people for best effect, is it to a facebook page with a video/squeeze/webinar announcment? A gotowebinar lander, or another type of laning page.
Brett
Love this information. I’m concerned about the effectivness of Facebook giben that people are not there to buy anything. Look forward to your stuff…
How do I get the best results from a fan page?
Good Stuff Drew! How do I identify the tribe and tehir beliefs related to my product, you know in adwords is “search Volume and other fun stuff” in FB is “….”? For example my business is related to Panama´s National Costume, I know there is a lot of people out there from my home country wanting to get this…Adwords work kinda cool, but FB would be better, but i don´t know how to start!!
Thanks for everything…You are the best
Jose
PanamaFolkDress.com
Awsome, but feel FaceBook not as great as they think they are
Great intro. Look forward to learning more.
Thanks for the excellent content and high quality videos, Drew. I love the perspective on the mind shift marketers must overcome when trying to make money on Facebook.
My most burning question:
As a Local Service Business, do you have to connect with peoples underlying identity in order to get traffic and sales? Or can you simply market your service to those Profiles that are discussing your market (which doesn’t happen very often)?
I can see the parallel with your Ethos water example and how a local company could start a program to give back to the local Community. You could build a community page off of the Fan Page and start a movement targeting profiles in the local market…
Am I on the right track?
Thanks again,
Brett
There is an overwhelming amount of information about how to market on fb and I just wonder …
Is it really possible to make money with fb or is fb just another way for marketing gurus to put out the illusion that an average marketer with little to no experience could actually tap into the money to be made with fb?
Is it better to take people directly to a fan page and try to get them to become a fan, or should you take them to your website and get them to sign up for e-mail, become a fan, or add you on twitter in order to get repeat customers?
How do you target the right audience on Facebook? 80% of all keyphrases used by marketers on Google are wasted even with all the research tools that there are to target keywords and leads. Yet they are still basically useless because they don’t bring in money and target the wrong traffic. How do you find that 20% of Facebook users who are going to resonate with your product or service? Are there tools? A process? Some way of casting a narrow net instead of grabbing everyone? I’m tired of kissing frogs – I want to target only the princes who are truly into what I’m selling. So that’s my number 1 question. How do we find and filter on Facebook?
So I set up facebook for my business but don’t know much about advertisement on facebook. I’m looking forward to see the next video.
I’m ready! Looking forward to the next videos.
By what mechanism does one build up the clientele on Facebook
I’ve been waiting for some information like this…stayed away from running Facebook ads because of the whole “coffee house” environment.
Should I be looking at PPC of CPM on Facebook?
Is the new emphasis on confidentiality affecting how difficult it is to find one’s demographic? I know I’ve deleted virtually all personal info on my FB profile and I NEVER participate in polls or games.
Hi, I am brand spanking new at internet marketing, and I can see great value in your video. I look forward to viewing the next one. BTW….Great work on your video! Vicki
Very interesting video, and certainly stimulates interest in the next ones. My question is how do you generate income on Facebook withour a web site?
Hi Drew
Great video. I am a Renaissance member. Trust Perry Marshall’s team to come up with cutting edge paradigm shifters! looking forward to information packed (hopefully)videos rather than pure sales fluff.
My main market is doctors. Is there any way to target specific professionals on facebook?
Regards
Mohan
the vedio is so nice and helpfull and i need your advise to advertise Hymen gel
Great stuff… this is encouraging….looking forward to your next video!
Big insights for free….
Whats the catch?
Well done, the overview provided was clear and direct. Better then any I have seen to date.
Duncan,
No catch. Just free shiz to help you with your FB marketing. We are offering an FB coaching program (more about that in video 3) but you’ll be waaay ahead with just my free stuff.
All my best,
Drew
I thought this was pretty cool! I like the way you kept changing locations to make it less like a presentation… I’ll have to do something like that for my videos.
As for my biggest question, hmm. I don’t know, exactly. I don’t think I know enough to have a big question, yet. But I’m looking forward to seeing the next video!
Great video. I look forward to the next ones.
Hi Drew,
What an amazing video! It shows you put in a lot of time and effort to plan for it and to shoot it.
At the end of the video, you ask for my biggest question. It’s not actually a question, but here it is:
I’d like a blueprint for creating my Facebook ads. A PDF document that’s step-by-step, from start to finish, with actual examples.
If you got that in your product, there are more chances I’ll buy it.
Another quick comment:
You zoom in, zoom out, and move around a lot in your video. It kinda makes me dizzy. I’d suggest you do it less.
Thanks for the valuable info and I look forward to you next videos.
Carl Juneau
P.S. I’ve got a video blog running too at http://www.perfectabsprogram.com/.
Carl,
Thanks for your candid feedback. There WILL be a blueprint that’s part of my coaching program. More about that at the end of video 3.
Drew
I am worried about advertising. I tested an ad on facebook and it tanked. The ad was so supposed to run for 24hrs and I capped my limit at £35. Within two hours my budget was gone and I had a bill 0f £40. I stopped the ad straight away and challenged face book as to why I had such a high bill. They told me that a daily budget can be exhauasted within a couple of hours.
Not only that I didn’t get one sale.
My question, just how to do PPC successfully on facebook
Margaret,
This is EXACTLY what we’re gonna teach in my live coaching program, how to do Facebook PPC successfully. Stay tuned for videos 2 & 3 to learn more, then at the end of video 3 I’ll tell you more about my coaching program if you don’t already know about it.
Drew
I am experimenting with Facebook ppc, it worked for 2 months, but after that only people clicking the ads but no sales. But after 2months I changed the photos, is that the reason or other things?
Thankyou Drew for taking the time to put your ideas into shape. Not an easy thing to do.
I like the idea of being able to find people “that think or feel” in the way I do. I run a small decorating and design company and with the recession am quite strapped for funds.
I didn’t find much success with Adwords – and in the last email/video I was sent through PM, I realized what it was: Google aren’t going to make any money out of me. My footprint is too small and my advertising needs are too small (not to mention my budget).
I get priced out of everywhere by larger or national concerns. I guess this is par for the course in the open market, but it doesn’t help me.
What are your thoughts?
Gemma,
You’re a really good candidate for successful Facebook marketing. Keep watching my videos!
Drew
Everything you say makes sense – I’m excited to learn more!
Thanks Drew!!
Loved that…can tell you might have gotten some new video software
I know nothing about advertising on Facebook, so I currently have no real question, but am all ears!
I LOVE this information, but seem to have a hard time getting off the ground in my FB campaign. In a nutshell, it appears that 1) we need a compelling, conversational ad that entices people to click and 2) land on a page (FB or website) that offers a definite call to action and 3) Oh yeah, something that people are looking for. Does this seem realistic?
I have done the Google research, so I know the demand is out there … I am not sure if advertsing for an niche-educational CPA network is going to work for me. Any thoughts on this? Maybe I just need to redo my ad, but so far I’ve had 15,000 impressions and 1 click. That’s pretty dismal. Can’t wait for the other videos.
Jodi
Thankyou for your response, Drew. I appreciate the support you give – Perry has been good, but I guess that there was not so much he could do for me. I am not highly skilled at advertising – I put the emphasis on clarity and experience when talking with customers.
I will warn you that the Dutch do not like commuting – travelling more than half an hour is considered outrageous. You can imagine my Google Adwords “footprint” (the area my ads covered) was tiny.
I am awaiting your following videos with some anticipation.
By the way, as an interior designer I would make the suggestion that you fill the gaps in your ceiling
Gemma,
Thanks again for your comment and nice catch on the ceiling! But actually, that’s considered very hip and “in” over here when doing modern office design. The missing ceiling tiles were intentional.
Drew
How do you get people’s attention to check out your shiz? Every time I pick my demographics or post something on my wall, maybe 3 of my 1,934 “friends” usually don’t give me the time of day! Thanks.
Well, as a teaser, I guess this worked. However, I really don’t understand why a marketing experts like Drew need 10 minutes and 26 seconds to explain something that could be said in one sentence: “In my next video, you will learn how to earn money on Facebook.” It’s like I am about to become mad because I constantly end up on web sites where there are and endless page that explains how great the message below is, and how much I will benefit from reading that message. But where is the message? It’s about the wrapping, isn’t it? American culture is about selling dreams. But I want food!
Facebook is pretty much tribe marketing. What Seth Godin talked about tribes apply to facebook!
Absolutely! Seth Godin’s the MAN!
Drew,
I am just finding out about Facebook and Social Maketing to promote my business but I am not exactly sure how to use it yet. I am looking forword to your future videos.
Hi,
Please have a downloadable copy of all of your videos.
Interesting stuff.
I am interested in FaceBook PPC but I am also interested in the Art of Marketing my website with Facebook as well.
So far talking about benefits and features on Facebook is a no-no. Got it. Treat Facebook like a coffee shop – social place of conversation. I think I need to visit a coffee shop again to get the vibe.
Thanks.
Hey Drew, great video! What kind of a budget to you need to make this work? I have very limited funds right now? Thanks Douglas
Douglas,
We recommend you start with a low daily budget, test, get traction, then ramp up. $10-30 per day to start with. If you haven’t seen the next videos go here for more videos and a Q&A call: http://www.perrymarshall.com/facebook/video-3
Drew
looking forward to your course – I’m pretty sure I own ALL of the FB marketing courses…including 2 that were expensive and pretty much CRAP!
Thanks so much for your video. I have noticed all the time it takes on all of these sites to get any results, and always wanted to stick with what works not bounce around.
Question: What if I want to give something away?
Does the same principles you are talking about work in this case?
Question: How do you get the understanding of the group? If you don’t learn how to reach them how can you sell to them?
I guess that is why I don’t like going on all these different sites. No feeling of community. I want to learn though. Help.
Jolaine
Great video. What does it cost to have that done?
Great information and many great questions to be answered here. Looking forward to 2, 3 and 4.
Dave
Is FaceBook another PPC advertising tool?
Yes, Facebook has its own Pay Per Click advertising platform.
Anxious for your next video.
I am just checking out how to use FB as a marketing tool. Is this another ppc system?
Drew, Thanks for the video. I am new to FB. I want to thank you for your insight of FB as a coffee shop. I would have been doing the wrong marketing. I really appreciate the information. I can’t wait to get your other videos.
Larry
Great video, you’ve already answered more than ALL the other videos I’ve seen on Facebook ads. Looking forward to the next one.
Thank you
Drew, good work, your video was great and informative. Not enough yet so I could already undo my poor spend at FB last month. I tried and bombed big. Waiting to see how I can change all that. By the way, first two videos from HI were too difficult for me to hear but this one worked fine.
See ye round..jm
I teach struggling readers, usually kids, to read. My business is just me and local. How can Facebook help? Also developing a live online course….but FB PPC advertising is cost prohibitive.
my biggest question is the landing page…can you really just direct link to a website and convert?
My questions mostly revolve around the landing page types.
great info thanks – new to this, just posted my first ad and so far its just as expensive as my adwords ad. Looking for info about how to set up my buinsess FB page to direct the traffic to so it becomes more about info not selling. thanks a lot.
Makes sense.
I hope you have a guide or something like that for facebook advertising.
I am curious to know what kind of budget you recommend people have for placing ads on facebook. Is this something that someone can bootstrap with say $100 or do you need thousands to really make a go of it. Thanks for the great video.
Good information. But I obviously need even more!
I’ve been trying FaceBook, but out of the first 20 ads I’ve tried, only succeeded in getting 1 accepted. And that’s only a 0.30% click-thru.
What the hey? THIS is DIFFERENT!
Dr. Dan
Thanks Drew, well done. It is great to learn from people who know what they are talking about. What you say makes common sense. Nice to hear common sense. Joanie
Hi, Great video. Looking forward to your other videos.
Thanks.
How long do facebook ads remain effective? (ie. can they have the same shelf life as google ppc ads?)
Great video. Love to see that someone is digging in and researching tackling this different platform. Its much different then doing SEM
Yes, how to get some sort of use out of Facebook apart from commenting back an forth would be of great advantage.
I use FB and Twitter to generate listeners for my weekly radio show and that works fine. But, … there is always a but, I have not dicovered how to use fb to generate revenue for me and partners. So anything which helps to clear up the thought processes would be very welcome.
Michael
Excellent stuff. I want more. Please get that next video going, I really want to get my Facebook ads going and want to start off right.
Hi Drew, these videos couldn’t have come at a better time I’m just about to open a laser teeth whitening studio, and was highly considering to use Facebook as part of my marketing arsenal.
My question to you is do you think FB will be a great place to advertise an offline business like laser teeth whitening in a small city in the UK.
Darrell,
Yes! You’re a very good candidate.
Drew
Cool video! Thanks for the insight!
French marketer and e-marchant with my coffee website http://www.chacunsoncafe.fr, i’m intersting to apply that on the french market.
Hey Drew! Here is my biggest questions rolling around…
Do Facebook ads work better on a specific demographic than others?
Samantha
Verrrrrry Interesting!!!!!! Looking forward to more……
I spend a lot of time acquiring new marketing skills and putting them into action for both my own business and those of my clients.
In all that time I’ve come across a lot of info online … 99% of it is third rate rubbish .. 1% of it is superb.
Drew, welcome to the 1% Club … this is superb
Stefan,
Thanks. That means a LOT.
Drew
Nice video. Thought provoking.
My question: How to market professional services to both B2B and B2C in a small city?
I’m new to FB, don’t have a lot of friends yet, have set up a fan page but haven’t published it. I’m sick of advertising in the Yellow Pages, but don’t know what to do that’s better!
Great content video thank you.
What’s the best type of products that sell via FB over all ?
I realise digital ebooks have the fastest delivery with no invantry etc etc ,however can you state what the best type of products are being marketed and sold over all please..
Kind regards.
Sincerely.
Mr.Mateeyes.
Looking forward to hearing more from you. I am currently doing some FB advertsing and having zero results, so hoping you can show me how to make FB work for me.
Great Stuff. Learning all the time. Please more of the same.
Hi and thank you for the insightful video. I’ve done some payper click ads on facebook but how can I track those clicks to see if they’ve turned into leads or sales. Is there a way to do this?
Liston,
Great question! We will teach this in my Facebook FastTrack coaching program that starts next week.
Drew
Looking forward to what you have coming Drew. Thanks for the information.
I am an amputee and I want to give 10%(5%Amputee Coalition of America & 5% to D.A.V.) what is the best way to market that with my business (and website) since I am an amputee I can relate to that particular market, but it has been so hard (at least it has been for me) to get my name out there !! We have the absolute roch btm. prices for self-defense products e.g. pepper spray, stun guns, Tasers, and other items. We want affiliates too, we want to spread the wealth and help other amputees. Can ANYONE help me ?
Great video!
George
Drew,
Enjoyed your video and looking forward to the next one. I am a local independent insurance agent in a small community. I am not sure if FB advertising is something that I should be using to help grow my insurance business and if so, how do you proceed in doing so?
Randy Dill
I would like to know how to sell more complex products (like services) via Facebook.
My clients are manufacturing companies and I have been able, through building them effective websites, to find them lots of new prospects and orders through Adwords and SEO. I am not sure if Facebook would be of any value for them so I am reluctant to get them started down this road. Perry’s short questionnaire results in a 2.6 score for them which suggests they should not use it. What do you suggest?
Frank
hey Drew awsome vid !!!
yeah I have a question. do you have an idea how to work in three dif languages in FB ? I mean right now I’m using 4 dif languages and 3 on them I’m to promote my biz (eng, heb, rus). its little bit hard to combine all of them in one acc…
any ideas ?
Petrenko B.
Thanks for the introduction. It was informative and interesting. However I doubt that my market will benefit a lot from FB advertising, for the simple reason that my target market is too small, from the third world, where the use of a credit card is rare. I wonder how to integrate mobile marketing with FB.
Your first video was very interesting. I am excited to see your other videos.
absolutely right on, i also use Fb for my chiropractic practice, by increasing my list thru our group in “Richmond Chiropractor”.
WE are starting up a Virtual Office Football Pool site. Membership of $19.95 yearlyt fee, allows you to enter the NCAA and NFL Football Pool. WIn weekly prizes and the Grand prize winners win a new Car and trip to the BCS Championship or SuperBowl. What is our best way to use FaceBook PPC for our FaceBook profile “Select TheWinners”?
hi i did fb ads spend $350 and did not get one sale i will be very interting videos
I am a jewelry designer. I know my demographic. You mentioned that the ad s need to be more visual than written:Should my ads have articles of jewelry in them?
This was excellent information on Facebook Marketing, I have been using Facebook Social Media Platform for awhile and really not sure how to market here. My profile is at max at almost 5,000 and I have started a Fan Page. I have 1000 friends request and really not sure what to do as FB has a limit on daily e-mails. Any advice on how to market on this platform would be helpful. I look forward to your other videos. Peace and Love, Ann (Skype ID annm.carron1)
If I bought advertising through google or facebook that is based on click response, I would have no guarantee that I’d have any sales. Therefore, no matter what I agreed to pay, I could have a bill of thousands in a months with no sales. I can’t risk that so what am I supposed to do?
Anne,
I’ll teach this in my coaching program that starts this week. In short, set a low daily budget, test and track till you come up with a winning offer and funnel. If you haven’t listened to the interview I did with Brandon go here and get it: http://www.perrymarshall.com/facebook/brandon
Its 15 minutes and WELL worth the listen. In week 4 of my program I’ll show exactly how to setup measurable Facebook funnels with clear calls to action that will get you on your way to profits with Facebook.
Drew
Like most people I desperately need to know how to generate traffic on facebook!
Hey Drew,
thanks for sharing and I LOVE your twitter tee!
Look forward to more.
Fran
Had to poke a little fun at Twitter.
Excellent knowledge and video! Thanks for adding such values.
Interesting presentation, I see u went through the Video Boss =)
I have been getting into facebook lately because of my client’s needs, so this is something I am really interested because I do not use FB PPC yet so really looking forward to it.
My biggest question is about budget. We can all agree that if you had deep pockets than you can just test different combination, but we don’t all have deep pockets, certainly I don’t so we have to be smart about it, so how do you handle a TEST budget, and more than that I would love to see a Real Case Study, to see that in action is possible, but I am sure you’ll include that in the training right?
Loved the college analogy and the identity marketing, quite honestly I never thought about that, but it makes total sense, because I myself don’t click on the standard Adsense look alike FB ads, but I do click on those that have to do with causes or interests, so thanks for that!
Looking forward to this, and to also promote it
take care
David C.
David,
We’re preparing multiple case studies so yes those will be available. I’ll also be explaining how to test, bugeting, etc. Hope you’ll join me on the training.
Drew
Great thanks, since I deal with local businesses this is going to be one of the most important aspects for me
Again thanks Drew
Like many other guys on the planet. I think I need to know more about advertising in FACEBOOK especially that there billions of competions. . . Thanks
Thank you so much – I was a big fan of your Google ADWORDS what you have done here blows the top off! With much gratitude for hitting the nail on the head! YOU ROCK
To your success,
Jan
I always thought that there had to be a better way! All this other stuff is so time consuming! I need to reach people and still be efficent. Help!
I biggest question would be on how to establish a strong local following and getting those fans to respond or interact?
I understand the concept of not selling, but offering solid information. The message just seems to get lost. Getting traction, in terms of response, has been dismal.
Would welcome ideas.
That’s exactly what we’re gonna teach in my coaching program!
Information is power and thank you very much for this informative video. Can’t wait for the next in the series.
I have been searching a long time for the truth, Do you have it? I am awaiting your answer FB is a great oppertunity for networking. I look forward to the next video!
Hi
Well done, a great presentation.Warmest,
Gerard
Mahalo, drew for a very informative video. I’ve been in marketing for 20 years, but only jumped into the social media pool last September. I appreciate your direction and look forward to hearing more. Great info!
I really liked your video, I hadn’t realised before and it’s important not to treat “facebookers” as “googlers”, they are in totally different grounds and I guess I understood your message!
Thanks!
Excited to see your videos and apply your strategies! Thanks
Drew,
What should I do if my name is already taken on Facebook?
I’m a total novice in social networking…never wanted to take the time before…your info is easy to understanding and convincing me to start!
Carole,
We ran into a similar issue with Perry. We had to get creative. Perry’s page is perrymarshallcom You’ll have to come up with something like this.
Drew
Thanks for the great videos. It’s been perfect timing for me. I was wondering if there’s a way to download the videos because my internet service shuts down if I watch more than 1/2 video.
Send me more info,thank you,jim.
Good stuff! Videos are good, but when you get ready to teach the whole enchilada, real written words need to be delivered with the videos. I’ve recently had the annoying experience of going through pure video courses and then trying to go back and review things that I needed to revisit. It was a huge, time consuming pain. There is nothing that replaces reading, highlighting, reviewing. Then add the hearing and seeing with video and you have a complete learning experience.
All the sessions will be delivered with “cheat sheets” digesting the content for easy consumption.
Good job and a very interesting program. Looking forward to your next videos. Jim
Great video and can’t wait for the next one. I’ve been experimenting with four PPC ads on Facebook since the end of March.
In reading through the comments on this page and especially the response to #178, I’ve set a low daily budget, and am testing and tracking, but so far have nearly 100% bounce rates on all four offers. My CTR is running at 0.016% and conversions are happening but are low.
With ROI negative after three months, it’s clear some adjustments need to be made!
Excellent presentation, but could I suggest you reduce the change of scenes a little. They are so interesting colorful and well presented I got carried away looking at them and didn’t hear the message.
John
PS I do have the attention span of a gnat so perhaps I am atypical?
Would love to know how to effectively advertise my niche dating service on Facebook. So far, your approach makes perfect sense. Now for implementation…
Hello, I have an e-card site and would love to promote on FB but won’t that seem like agenda pushing?
Great info on advertising with FB. Looking forward to seeing your next videos.
Hi,
Does your system require me to tweet and post on Facebook?
Thank you.
Sarah Angel
Great video. Informative and analytical. I agree and believe you can teach people to be in the 1% making money. I like the relaxed atmosphere and movement of the Video. Kudos all around
bob
The video was informative and motivating. The comments and responses really helped my thinking on this subject . . . which, BTW, seems to be coming up more and more often these days. Thank you for tackling the issue of advertising on FB head on and helping businesses take it seriously.
I’m really looking forward to seeing where this goes from here.
Hello Drew,
I’d like to know how to effectively use Facebook to generate leads. I’m not interested in making sales; I’d just like to get a high volume of *qualified* leads.
I would like to make the transition from being a Google Adwords manager who generates leads to a Facebook pay-per-click manager who generates leads.
Thank you for your valuable insights. You guys are the only ones I trust on this subject.
George Krahn
George,
Facebook is a GREAT place for lead generation.
Drew
I liked the info presented. I am awaiting the opportunity to start with the information. Thanks for sharing.
All the best,
Tony
I have learnt a lot from Perry about Adwords. Thank you for your info on Facebook.
How to improve conversion rates from Facebook traffic ?
I enjoyed the video. I’d like you opinions on Facebook marketing and I’d like to know more about how you do your videos, your studio, your equipment, how many takes it took you to make the above video. It looked to me that you did segments, then put them together – what software did you use?
John,
Thanks for the props. Email me at drew@simplewebvideo.com I’ll need a week or so as I’m up to my ears with this Facebook launch.
Drew
I have your Maui course and Facebook was discussed in the course. In your new Facebook course, do you cover all new content that was not revealed in the Maui course? Thanks!
Michelle
Interesting presentation and digest of info. Audio difficult to hear — especially with background noise in coffee shop setting.
I LIKED INFO presented I AM AWITING THE OPPRTUINITY thanks for sharing
The opportunity is here: http://www.perrymarshall.com/facebook
thank you for an insight into facebook
Hey Drew – you have really got my attention. I come from the traditional marketing world, you know, before the internet – yes there are a few of us still around
I am struggling to understand Facebook and have made a real mess – my own profile, a company page, a fan page – I need your advice.
can’t wait to watch the next one
Thanks for a really non-guru like approach – very refreshing!
Regards
Eva from the UK
Great Vid look forward to learning more
Great vid! I can’t wait to see the next ones! I am also most concerned about keeping that divide between my personal Facebook use and my business use. I’m looking forward to getting to hear your tips.
Great fundamental info filmed creatively, and it’s entertaining!
Thanks!
Don
Great video! I have been hearing a lot of hype about Facebook PPC but I do not even know where to begin. I think your videos will be the answer! Looking forward to your next video!
Great presentation. Also, I’m an artist/designer and thought the visuals throughout were just great. Love the brightly colored walls, the illustration of the kangaroo, etc. Nice to see so much care and attention going into the creation of a video. I hope you had as much fun making it as I did watching it.
Thanks for such great insights and looking forward to learn more and act upon this new knowledge! I do have a question: can we create multiple “fan pages” under one profile? Reason being that we operate in more than one “niche”. If not, can we open multiple profiles in Facebook to serve each topic? All the best!
Thank you for this information I am definitely looking for the next video
The next videos are out. Go here: http://www.perrymarshall.com/facebook/video-3/

Looking forward to the next video. Happy shooting.

How can I get my website pop-up on face book?
Is it free to advertise on facebook?
So far I like your effort and accomplishment keep on the good work my brother. God bless.
Nice work and done in a way that I can understand. I’m not a marketing guru by any stretch, but I have an interest in breaking free of the “corporate” agenda. I’ve crossed the bridge into my 5th decade of life and this is a bit daunting – trying to tie the social media thing all together. I look forward to what you have to say and trust that you will provide the content w/o the any missing pieces. This is all too common by my experience. Thanks!!
Like you suggested, I am “social networked” to death! I need to make money in my large but peculiar market. They are “sick” people and hard to tell anything to. I’m curious about 2 things: 1) I’m well. I identify with them because I had the illness, however… I’m well now. I think that because of that, many of them think of me as an outsider. 2) I want to create a fan page and quit posting exclusively to my personal page. I need to put together the best form and best functionality for the fan page to be effective.
I am a Real Estate Broker in San Jose, California. I would like to learn how to market my business using Facebook.
Thanks very much for an excellent information,
Looking forward to the next video.
only my face not popularity in Facebook.
I love a good analogy and the Starbucks versus the library one is right up there. Nice work.
Hey, Drew—What a killer video presentation! No screaming; no cheap video; excellent camera work; clean, crisp audio; creative set design and color coordination; good writing; and powerful content.
I’m not 100% sure that you can help me make money yet, but I can unconditionally report that this was the best “first impression” I’ve ever seen online.
Bert,
Thanks! That means a lot.
Drew
what url are you speaking about awesome I cant wait to see more about fb no web site that even better…..
Lisa,
What url do you need? I’m not clear on your question.
Drew
Great food for thought!
Marketing with such a huge variety of options available is overwhelming for many. You are providing a great service by breaking it down. Keep up the great work.
Great presentation. I like your calm confident style.
For some of us with low minimal budget, will you be covering how to monetize FB without having to get into PPC adv?
Jon,
We’ll show you how to start with a small budget, get something working, then scale it up.
Drew
Hi !
I appreciated the video, what you’re saying makes good sense for B2C products and services, but what about B2B? can I really find serious prospect on FB? Can I sell to big companies through FB ?
Thanks !
Dan,
You’ll want to listen to our Q&A call replay tonight at 8 pm CST. It will help you with this. Watch your email.
Drew
Thank you for making the subject of Social Media Marketing “REAL” for up & coming marketeers. Question: can I use my WordPress.org site ccs style sheet on a Facebook Fan Page to keep the branding similar?
Yes you CAN call external CSS hosted on another server. Ditto images.
Where are the other videos that we had to opt in to?
Thanks for the content.
Barbara,
Go here to get videos 2 & 3: http://www.perrymarshall.com/facebook/video-3/

hey to all just found out about this so i see for now
if i like it i let you know how i feel thanks;
Why is facebook a “hey look what I’m selling site” to so many people?
and not a “hey look at the fun things I’m about” page instead?
isn’t that YOUR draw?
thanks,
Eugene from alaska
the url under my email address is what Im speaking about….
That allows you to edit your comment status. Its added by default when you comment.
I am very impressed – as was everyone else. Can’t wait to watch the videos. Wish I could schedule the 28th but am committed already. Look forward to MOre.
Great work.
sorry about that but if you could understand what i said was the URL that is under my name and then it says email address is what I’m speaking about the one on this page i left it blank because I did not know what to place in there. OK IT STILL AWESOME VIDEO
THANK YOU SO MUCH
Thanks Drew. Good information. Look forward to the following videos.
Mike,

The online advertising world is amazing and I find myself often overwhelmed by how much there is to learn on an ongoing basis… and it’s an industry that I’m focused on. My company has recently added FB Adv as one of its offerings to local businesses and I’m still wrapping my head about how it all works.
I’m delighted to be introduced to you and your mini-course so that I can feel that much more confident in speaking with my clients. Thank you. Shima, OnlineAdDiva

Hi,
Thanks for the info.
I am looking forward to the next videos.
We have facebook page with followers, would like to increase followers but also remain ethical, as followers are more like family. We sell products not services. How do we increase our turnover but keep our family happy, and not just use information they share to sell them stuff more products.
Thanks

I have no idea where to start I am new to internet marketing I almost want to walk away I have been reading things for about 7 months now and mt head is spinning. everyone has a different opion as to what is best. have bought and returned several things that did not work or left you in the middle not knowing where to go.
I know nothing about facebook twitter have never used them can you help or is this for people who already know these things.. I heard you mention pay per click this sounds expensive and risky at least that is what I heard. I have no website or list or domain or hosting.
I’M REALY DUMB ON THIS, YOU HAVE TO SHOW TO DO THIS SIMPLE.

my first book is publised Sept 2010 and I have been informed I should market on facebook. It is called “Transformed by the Power of God: Learning to be clothed in Jesus Christ” Destiny Image is the publisher and it is a prophetic message to the Christian Churh.
So besides writing on people’s Walls and telling them about it and where and when they can get it. What else can I do?
In “Ads and Pages” I have started a page, but not gone forward with it.They want to charge me $50.00 per month or $0.99 per hit.I do not know if that is worth my expense.
So how would you market a new non-fiction book released for the Body of Christ?

I found this video to be somewhat inforitive, however just like most of the online info it strings you along and usually at goes on and on until I decide, ENOUGH! And Usually by that time I have spent quite a bit of money. I hope this one is different.
I think you will find this to be an exception to the rule.
Drew,
The numbers your talking about would be something I would have never even thought of. What that could and according to you would do to someone’s business is phenomenal or could be.. My questions is you can only get to know so many people so that’s not where it’s at. So then how doe’s one start with a page and go forth. Do I need my own Blog, Is a website sufficient? You cannot just go on face book and post an ad. Perhaps I am missing a lot here as I am somewhat of a new kid on the block you could say. I’m waiting for your next video. I have heard that social sites are going to be the wave of advertising and they have social sites that are geared for business. But it still comes down to how many people you know. I need to soak it all in like a sponge so if you will help me on these questions if you can even get a question out of this mess I would be grateful and am waiting for more info from you.
Thanks
Doug

How can I have a family site and a business site? When only one or the other is the choice?
Marketing has never been a skill of mine, nor an interest. Our trainers network engage people in learning how to facilitate participatory decision-making methods, honoring the wisdom of everyone in the room. People hear about our courses word-of-mouth. It has been my sense that somehow social networking is the way for us to move, but none of us can figure out how we would use it. I’m looking forward to more ideas in your next video! CK

How do you sell a service that people don’t want, rather something they need and better yet something that isn’t well known. I have tried FB PPC ads and they fail miserably for my clients.
I am interested at two levels – how FB can create clients for my clients and how FB can create them for me. I have 200 Likes (Fans now).
I am not sure I understand the purpose of advertising a fan page – instead of directly to my website – can you include the reasoning for this in one of your next videos –
thank you!

Hey Drew, Very impressive. Low key about your marketing, yet very effective and I want to know more.
I don’t have the funds to grow and yet if more people saw what I have, do and offer, I could ofcourse soar. My products and services offered are needed by everyone, especially the self employed or 1099 person.
The main product or service offered are Corporate style benefits for the small business, self employed, individuals, families. One of those benefits is Health Insurance.
My question is how do I market this in todays platform?
I thank you in advance. James

hi Drew, great video, i have just started advertising on facebook and was wondering how do you know how much
to pay for clicks.
Hi,
Interesting video..
In my own humble opinion I believe facebook ads are akin to interruption marketing just like PPV..in other words you have to grab the users attention..
My family use facebook everyday to keep up with friends scattered around the world though, I have never seen any of them click facebook ads..
The concept of using conscience marketing is a good one as we have seen with fair trade products…and the bottled water you highlight..
Here is my problem with most IM products..It’s almost always “how long is a piece of string” In my own tutorials I aim to do everything live as it happens, this way the recipient can see the result of the action..
To refine the point I’m making..can you guys actually show a step by step live, working example of any one facebook campaign?
Thanks,
Gordon.
PS: great video presentation.

Good introductory video. I am eager to view videos #2 & #3 to learn more about the actual mechanics of how to generate income through Facebook. Hey!
I’m Spike and I run a killer Dating Workshop here in NYC. Can FB be used on a more local basis to get the word out about the amazing things that we accomplish and to build a following of happy (and hopefully paying) customers?
Also, I’m an officer of a Not For Profit called “World Peace, One Falafel at a Time” (no I’m not kidding). How can we utilize FB to spread the word, globally, about our peace programs?

I have been trying to develope internet marketing through PLR’s and have been berraged by offers. I like what i’ve heard so far. What is your take on PLR’s ?
Great work keep it up
Social networking is all about meeting people, while marketing moves people towards meeting a different need. In between is entertainment (Youtube), worldwide awareness(News), interactive fun (gambling, games).
Another major challenge is keeping track of your life which I suggest email is better than facebook, especially if it becomes more interactive.
This is me learning, but let me know if you agree.
great video. looking for youe more detailed videos
Thanks.
Not sure what to ask. I seem to overloaded with information.
Very good interest poking video. Looking forward to the next videos.
This is the information I’ve been waiting for so I can clear up the confusion on how to market and get results. Thanks,
John
Funny you should bring this up now, Drew!
Haven’t we just started to do a miserable job of advertising with PPC on Facebook ….
Doug
Thanks for the videos.
I am looking forward to your next video so that i can apply what i learned to promote my business on facebook
Thanks for the information
I love what the first video had to offer. By the end of video one, I was definitely intrigued enough to continue through and register for videos two and three. I have to ask though:
From a marketing standpoint, how do you measure the return on investment from all the time and effort spent on social media marketing?
I agree – facebook is the way of the future.
Bring on the videos.
I’m a newbie and am interested in learning. I hope this is not another let down.
Drew,
One of the best intro videos I’ve seen in 4 years…great work.
You sold me, I’m in…I’ll hold off on my questions until I’ve watched the remaining videos and listen to the Q&A…
Myth or fact? Can pay per click ads on facebook be used for something like a young adult fantasy novel? I’m told over and over that online marketing doesn’t apply to fiction, but I’d love to prove that myth or fact wrong.
Thanks for the hopeful video, Drew.
Hey Drew,
This is a very dynamic video, thanks for sharing.
I am interested in using Facebook for ebay and Real Estate sales and marketing.
I’ve never been much of a marketer myself, but have always listened to what Perry and company have to say. I’m glad to see Drew here in such an excellent video. I’m a service provider, and for some reason it’s taken a few years for the light bulb to go off in my head that I do need to learn marketing not only for me but for my clients. Off to watch the next videos!
Thanks for helping the new guys in getting information and direction on how to promote their businesses.
Facebook and twitter has always been a question of how to really get noticed and make sales.
Also to design your blog and what info to put on it and, of course, promoting it.
Hey Drew, Very good video. Great to see your super cool office! I am looking forward to your video on using videos.

In a world where business, governement, healthcare, law enforcement, and attornies are constantly being questioned for their integrity, we need strait answers. You’ve got it “going on.” Thank you for getting to the point with the promise of more. I’m ready learn when you’re ready to teach.
Hi there,
I am intrigued. Why? People that i seem to hang around use facebook for making money, but the conning way. I thought to myself there must be an easier way to do this make money lark without ripping people off and getting your fan pages banned.
Then i get an email from someone i didn’t expect to, and here i am on your site. I am intrigued to know more and i don’t know if i opted in right, because a message came up saying ‘unable to process’, so if you could opt me in please.
Cheers!
Great video. Finally someone steps forward and tells the truth, which we have not had in America for a long time.
Thanks for your candor. Can’t wait for the next video!
Hi Drew, I appreciate the info. I have tried Facebook advertising but do not seem to get any traffic or hits? What is the secret to effectively selling Coral Calcium to people through Facebook. Im completely successful at doing it in other areas, but really want to break into this new marketing area.
Thanks
Brad
Yes, I need a new start, way to make a living I never knew before, never look back at the way life used to be. A new me all to gether. I need 30 days front on my debit to truely pay anyone who will give me this chance with a vested interest in me/ us. If this be you I humbly thank you in advance. Sincere thanks, Scott
Do we have to register an additional FB acc, with no Photo but rather a company name and logo?
Alta,
No you need to setup a business fan page for your business marketing and to keep your personal FB stuff separated from your business stuff.
Drew
I liked the straight forwardness of this Video. I am new to all of this and would like to know how to actually convert the list to sales. Also, what type of info would one actually post on their FB page?
Hi Drew,
1st what a great compelling call to action for the opt in. As some of your message alludes to, we are dabblers in the Facebook, Twitter, Blog circle but with no way to tangibly define results other than links from the blog to the site which have been robust and fairly decent quality. That being said we are on the simplest terms an e-tailer. We sell bricks and mortar that are stylish and super cost effective. We do have a green bent and eco sensibility and my guess is this is where we shift to. So my question is do I do that and drive traffic and opt ins to the blog to create followers, loyalty, referrals, a community and eventual purchasers.
Thanks
Tad
Great video!!! Thanks!
I work with a group of people in several online

While getting moderate success in some areas I need to
find a way to generate more traffic efficiently. While
I identify with a lot that you say how can I multiply my results by a facter of 10? Looking forward to seeing your videos
Hi Drew,
Great video.
I started using FB solely for business, then got into it with relatives and friends.
What is the best way to separate the two groups so my business posts to do interfere with my personal posts to my friends and so that my personal posts are not see by the business contacts?
I’, sure that if I ask people to move to a new list, there will be a very high drop out rate.
Thank you
Thanks for the great content. I am really excited to learn more from you.
I’ve created a group for my seasonal consignment business but have noticed other similar businesses use fan pages. What are the differences as they related to business use?
Drew,
My biggest question is how do I grow a huge local Fan Page and then make is rain cash?
Thanks Looking forward to the next video…
Rahz
Love your relaxed style Drew, this is exciting to be in at the start of the new marketing instead of always being at the end. I am opting in right now.
My greatest concern is that I will lose control of the information I post on facebook. There are so many horror stories out there. I would love to have my gallery on facebook, but I feel clued out.
Thanks,
Val
That was a very good information looking forward to the second video
I do have a fanpage set up. I had someone update it for me. This person can no longer do this. I was wondering how to insert links into my fanpage. Once I know how to do this, I can update it myself. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
This is excatly on target. Facebook is big, how would be the best way to advertise on facebook- do you need to have facebook fan page?
Thanks
I am wondering how to get started in Facebook, but does it have to be in PPC ads?
I would like a coach that can tell me what to do and say on a daily. to make the big money so that I can be as successful as you guys are in online marketing, because what is working for you should work for me. but it would be nice to get a e-mail telling you what to do and say everyday for 6 months or ontil you start making a great income from the internet. If you offer something like that; it would be wonderful because my success would tbe your success and 15% commission of my net income to you for you changing my financial life. If this sounds good to you then please show me the money!!!
Thanks Drew, Super video keep them comming.
Really enjoyed the video and I am looking forward to the next one – Keep it light and fun!
Drew’s description of the appropriate point of view for marketing on Facebook – Engage, engage, engage. Thank you for passing on this essential approach. PJ Coolick
Very interesting content about Facebook.
The biggest question I have is will your methods work for someone how has no prior experience on Facebook?
I’m willing to check this out. I agree with you though about what you said about twitting and posting comments all over the place. It’s all a waste of time. Thanks for the videos and the mini-course.
For that one year I’ve been on the web I went from website and no sooner I was done – websites were obsolete – to blogs and now social media. Lucky for me, I didn’t ignore FB as a site for the young for very long. The explosion was obvious. So – I’m in the game, have a bunch of friends from all over the world – we love Doberman Pinschers – tweet, blog and FB and all connected – but now what – you mean I can push some kind of products at my “friends” and hope they don’t notice – haha – go point the way – you got my ears, hands off my keyboard (yes, both of’em).
yeah I like to be counted in on something that actually works, looking video 2& 3
I am a multi-media student.I don’t yet have any particular product for sale yet,but am intrigued at the thought of profiting off the sheep.I recently tried selling hard drives that EASILY add a couple Linux OSs to any PC w/ M$ on it for $45, but folks are scared of Linux because there’s READING involved (Mac is merely Neatly-Packaged Linux)
Thanks for the video. How do I get started and:
1) How do I get started with out risking a bunch of money?
2) How do I test what I am doing so that I know that it is working?
3) How can I market on facebook AND not look like a pain in the A** marketer?
Thanks!
Hello Drew that was great I have been apart of Infusionsoft emailing list for almost 2 yrs and I have been working my way up to become an affiliate for this same amount of time. I own and operate a small business from home that has been struggling since the decline of the economy and just when I have been praying and asking God which path to take in my business, he sent the answer and to think it was right there all alone. Thank you for providing such great timely information and for sharing your gift and knowledge with persons like us who may of never been able to afford your services if we had to pay for it….wow this is great stuff.
This is the information I’ve been waiting for so I can clear up the confusion on how to market and get results. Thanks,
Looking forward to the rest of the videos.

FAscinating a great way to get an edge thanks
This looks promising.
Hi friend,
just watched your video. Real good infos, which is absolutely great to get served the whole picture what is FB all about. That means for me you got the puzzle togehter.
OK, but is it really that easy to build a FB landing page as you say? I’ve been trying but couldn’t make it through.
Nevertheless, that was a very enjoyable video.
Best regards, Peter Wurzer
Peter,
In my live coaching program I just released an un-announced bonus that included a 10 part video series on how to build your first FB landing page. This bonus is easily worth $1,000.00. The process is technical, but it can be done.
Drew
I’m very new to all of this and want to learn and very fast. I hope my association with you will fill this need.
It sounds great, but there is so much I dont understand. I have thought about seting up a website, but I needed to understand the correct way, so can you help with that and how much will it cost, which is a huge deciding facter for me right now.
Thanks Drew,
Joseph
What do I need to do to open a face-book account for these endeavors. What options do I need to make sure I do it right?
I honestly have a fear of putting too much info on the web. As a retiree I can not see me dealing with identity theft.

I have a face book personal account but I would like to generate leads for my network marketing business in a business account separately in FB. Please advice me how I can generate leads for my business.
very good content, you didn’t go into the poor to rich kid thing …..thanks !
how do you figure out the demographic you want to market to on FB if you have a broad demographic ??
Great video look forward to the next one!
Hey Drew,
Awesome video and content!
My problem with Facebook is simple- if I want to maintain privacy and not have the whole world watching what I do, how can I market effectively without having every single person know or be able to find out what I do?
I work in 2 very different areas- one which requires that I interface with successful investors who are private about their dealings (and suspect they would not like their guy all over facebook).
The 2nd- I work with small busienss owners to market their business online and using socail media and video marketing. here is where I want to market my services.
Any advice?
Shane
Shane,
You should setup a Facebook Fan (also called Business) page. You can interact with and market through that without exposing your personal stuff.
Drew
Thanks for the inside and the new move on social marketing and how it changing the internet business by storm…

I am new marketer and just starting out. You really got my attention. thanks.
Your video came to me at an opportune time and seems like exactly what I need!
I’m new to the social networking thing. I do have FB, Twitter, YouTube and Tumblr accounts set up. My question is how do you get people to go to your page? How do you get them to be fans?
And, how does this all apply to marketing services?
Thanks,
Joy
Great intro to your idea! Facebook is HUGE and the marketing on it could be the next goldmine. I hope you get the next video out soon!

Great info – a real eye opener
thanks
Excellent video. As a newbie it’s all a bit daunting, but I have grasped the fact that facebook is the way to go. Not sure at this point how to get myself in front of the right kind of people and when you’re new you feel you haven’t much to give, it’s all take at this stage. Looking forward to your next videos.
I have 2 separate FB accounts: personal and professional. Is it counterproductive to separate them? Is it better to have the professional one like my personal one (adding friends) or where it adds fans?
Hi Drew,
thank you for this awsome information. I wasn´t even thinking about facebook ads before.
But now I´m looking forward to learn more!
How do i find serious investors in Real Estate without sounding like im selling something to them
Hi Drew,
Your video actually got me excited about marketing again. I have felt so overwhelmed by how to put all of this information together so that it actually works. I don’t twitter-and I do have an account.
I am looking forward to re-watching this video and seeing the mini-course.
Great video, ready for the next one…..

Were a new business in a growing industry, but its critical to unlock the social media code. Looking forward to your next video.
this is what I’ve been looking for, its about time.
Great video. I have been wanting to get expert advice on how to begin using facebook intelligently, effectively, and comprehensible for the beginning level where I am. I knew instinctively that just doing the comments, blogs, etc wasn’t going to lead to real business, so I am excited to learn how I can get results.
My question:
How do I market on a shoe string budget, as I am a Network Marketer that wants to reach target market of people looking to earn extra cash without spending huge amounts of money.
Looking forward to learning from you.
Carol McWilliams
I’m excited to see the next videos! Ready to take massive action!
Thanks for TELLING IT LIKE IT IS on social marketing.
Great content on this first video. Looking forward to the others.
Perry Marshall is the best!
I have used lots of Perry’s concepts to build my company.
Nice won
This video is really cool and i look forward to the others; somewhat Yahoo! has an option to allow connection to facebook… wonder about the safety features on this; what have the other users experienced in terms of allowing direct connection of Yahoo! contacts and seeking others through facebook linkage…I.e.; experience on safety matters?
Eye-opening concepts. Looking forward to the details.
nice video, thanks for the info
how do i do it, and where dose the money come from?
I heard FB ads are not the best way to go…
Thanks for the excellent positioning and cultural revelation for the ART of marketing on Facebook.
Nice video! I never knew Perry Marshall was so into Facebook. It’s true, Facebook is easier to make money from than most any other platform.
welcome 2 fb Perry, you’ve given me new ideas to try out,
Watching this growth is explosive, mind blowing to say the least. Seeing the evolutionary changes makes one think how do guide a snowball rolling along getting bigger than anything in any business ever. It’s exciting to be along with the ride. Drew, please keep the imfo coming. You have great delivery. Trust is rare, and keeping up with the ideas you have, keeps it feeling contagious. How to identify, and relate to a specific market, and peak there interest, to “capture” a customer? Looking forward to it! Many thanks, G
I’m running on facebook for a few weeks now and have over 100 clicks but no conversions yet?
Hi Drew….Have tried ppc on FB with no results.
What is the difference between a regular FB account and a FB FAN PAGE. How do I set up a FB FAN PAGE?
Thanks,
Larry
Hi Drew:
What is the difference between a regular FB page and a FB FAN PAGE?
I have used FB PPC with NO SUCCESS.
Thanks,
Larry
this is a big help some who is will to share what they know and teaching it is awesome.keep them coming
the more the better.
Drew -
Awesome video both in terms of style and (especially) content. What I appreciate most is that you are not just presenting a nice package without a prize inside. It seems obvious, but my feeling that if the free content is this good … I can’t wait to see what is in the actual course.
There is no doubt that Facebook is a real player now, especially given all of the recent “marketer slaps.” I don’t blame them as their priority is the search experience for their customer. As marketers we have to simply work within the limits of their terms of service and look for alternatives. Facebook sounds like a good choice to me.
Thank you … awesome!
James
It was helpful to understand the FB psyche
I am a new startup with very little funding so whatever you can teach will be awesome. also i would be interested in keeping my business part of facebook seperated from my personal one. is that possible?
looking forward to the following videos!
I am hearing that facebook is resricting its advertisers based on subjective reasoning…..what is their criteria?
Very good stuff, I can’t wait for more.
I love the idea of social marketing, but so far the apps that facebook lists as having “in house” are hard to understand both in purpose as well as practicality. Is it necessary to go to an “App Store” like North Social to “rent” their apps or does facebook have their own and in some archive somewhere tell you how to use them? I mean I can “insert code” but the question is… where do we really want it?
Hey Drew.. I have a question?
Would you recommend to place and add in FB selling my MLM opp. right of the bat?
Or
A Founded Proposal first?
Great Video Thanks!
where do i start ….step one is….
I have promoted on seo, ppc, youtube and am now really looking forward to getting stuck into facebook. Perry’s advice has stood the test of time and it’s good to have someone who’s not just an overnight person. thx jed
Hey just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you know a few of the pictures aren’t loading correctly. I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different web browsers and both show the same outcome.
hello my name is willie hunter i live in richmond va okay at this time i dont have a job or any income at this time iam looking for a job everyday still no luck yet so iam put this add up and look for good job
Hi. I bought and read PM’s excellent Facebook guide on Amazon, and my biggest question is about conversion tracking on Facebook.
On the one hand, the book highly recommends to send ad traffic to a fan page rather than to an external page and to track your conversion funnel closely, but on the other hand, I understood that tracking fan page conversions is not fully possible at this time. So how do you recommend we track our campaigns and benefit from using a fan page as a landing page?
By the way, I’ve integrated custom landing tabs in Facebook using an iFrame and customized WordPress theme, so I wonder if there’s an easy way to hook up Google Analytics to the custom tab and track conversions that way and if this would be congruent with Facebook’s terms of service.
Please let me know if you have any tips on this.
