4 Man Intensive
the 48-Hour Mastermind
Chicago: March 12-13, 2020
Chicago: August 27-28, 2020
In the Meantime, Also Consider Roundtable for 2020
Each person is from a different industry and brings completely different experiences to the 4-Man Intensive. The diversity of business experience in the room creates a powerful synergy and fascinating, unpredictable discussions. Each Intensive is as unique as the combination of people who attend. You can bring a spouse, partner, or team members and it’s an experience that none will forget.
Dear Online Marketing Professional:
Before I tell you about the 2-day, 4-man workshops I’m hosting, I’d like you to hear from Jay Harper, a serial entrepreneur who owns both a technology services company and a new, fast-growing cosmetics firm:
“I won’t know for sure until we really reconcile our books but I’m pretty sure we 4x’d our entire business since the Intensive. From roughly $170k last year (remember we hit the Intensive in November of last year) to over $500k year to date. In December of this year we’re expecting over $200k in that month alone.
Even down to Trade Shows. Shows where we used to take in $1200 to $1500 on a weekend – possibly not even break even, we now commonly take in $5000 – $6000, just from a couple of small changes.
And on the other hand, the Intensive also showed me that there is no one magic pill, no one magic bullet that just ‘overnight’ makes you rich. It keenly made me aware of the fact that you (as the business owner i.e. ‘me’) better get your head wrapped around a multitude of concepts and strategies swiftly.
Lucky for me, every time I ask a question in my head, a product of Perry’s blows it out of the water, and it might take years to fully absorb it all but the Intensive firmly made me a believer in such a way that I trust any darn thing Perry says or offers.
I found it really great to get out of my own vacuum, and watch how someone, who is so very experienced in dealing with others’ marketing ideas, works… and forms ideas, even ideas ABOUT ideas.
What it did for us, Andrea and I, was it helped us form a new framework – or how about a new toolbox? And in that toolbox are brand new shiny tools to work with in our own business. The 4 man firmly cemented some concepts we had already been sniffing at, and formed new ones we hadn’t seen.
What I think was the most amazing part, was literally “watching Perry work”. Seeing how Perry’s brain forms ideas around products, concepts, businesses, models, spins, words, selling, writing, pricing, imagery – it was like opening a pair of floodgates.
Now I understand his emails, when his speaks about having one or two mentors who are really good, they really ARE the ones who will take care of you for the long haul.
I would do the Intensive again any chance I had. Personally, I would really like to step up to Roundtable.”
– Jay Harper, President, Red Apple Lipstick, Houston, Texas
Jay’s wife Andrea chimes in:
“Seriously, we have “Perry Happy Hours” every day – reading together & watching DVDs, we have to stop about every 2 sentences because another little nugget of brilliance was just written or said & we have to discuss. Takes us 2 hours to complete a chapter. Thank you for always continuing to learn & then passing it on to us! ”
Left to right: Outsourcing Consultant Allan Watton from UK, Foreign Language Program Owner Jimmy Crangle from Scotland via Thailand, Tony Varbanov from Los Angeles, me, Radio Distributor Ben Burns and Alex Thompson from Los Angeles, and Judith Bohren from Great Britain.
An eclectic bunch, to be sure. And never a dull moment!
Immediately after the the Intensive event, here’s what participants say:
As a tax reduction strategist for entrepreneurs, I breakdown every deal deal into two categories: 1) it made me money, or, 2) it cost me money.
Perry Marshall’s 4 Man Intensive made me money. More importantly, it changed the core identity of what we do. For example, I came to Chicago with my wife calling myself a “tax professional”. Like the world really needs another.
We did an 80/20 on my client list. Then we did an 90/10 on my client list. Then we did a 99/1 on my client list. That’s when the “aha” moment really happened. I realized I wasn’t positioned as the solution for my top clients wants and needs. Perry quickly broke down the disconnects between the messaging and services offerings for our top clients compared to our other clients.
So, we changed our positioning; changed our service offerings. Since the the Intensive, we now attract clients we actually like doing business with: they pay more, they are nice, they are respectful, they are fun to interact with. We even now get to reject prospective client we don’t like. (btw, the emotional feeling of being able to reject clients you don’t want to work with is awesome!)
That would have been enough value for our Intensive. But, since it only took an hour to 80/20 our client list, we charged on.
With Perry’s assistance, we created a systemized referral engine. We now attract financial advisors & trust lawyers who want to refer us their clients.
The biggest benefit we got out of the Intensive is this giant sense of relief. We no longer worry where the next big client is going to come from. Plus, this system doesn’t require endless lunch and dinner meetings. My nights now belong to my family.
Doing the Intensive with Perry was one of the best strategic decisions our firm made; one of the best investments we made based on simple R.O.I.
It’s one thing to read books and e-books, to listen to CD’s and MP3’s and teleconferences… and even attend live seminars and hear people talk about winning marketing strategies.
It’s an altogether different experience to sit down with a world-class pro and just do it. On your project, not somebody else’s.
Which is why I’m inviting you to come visit me in just a few weeks, at my offices here in Chicago* and spend a couple of days with me. You and I will roll up our sleeves and work together. Before you go home, your website, your sales process, your Google Ad campaigns and your marketing strategy are going to be measurably, demonstrably superior.
I’m taking teams of four people who will come to my office in Chicago and get personal help from me. You and three other entrepreneurs (no more than that) will get together here and I’ll help each of you – and you’ll help each other – execute and perfect your sales and marketing.
I’m limiting each team to 4. Three others, plus yourself (a spouse or a partner is OK too) – a very small group. Small enough that I will have plenty of time to sit down with you personally and physically help you with your stuff. Yet, because it’s a small group, it has all the advantages of small group interaction: More minds focused on problem solving, more ideas, more inspiration.
We’ll meet for two days, 9am to 5pm each day. We’ll hone in on anything you want to talk about. We’ll work on any project you bring with you. We’ll strategize your next two years of growth, orchestrate big-picture plans, build out AdWords campaigns, craft sizzling copy, write emails and autoresponders… whatever it is that you need to move ahead at maximum speed, so that this year is a killer year for your business.
You get to share this experience with three other online entrepreneurs. Not run-of-the-mill wannabes, but top 1% performers. You’ll get inspiration from what they’re doing, from their experience, from the questions they ask. In just 48 hours you’ll acquire a much deeper understanding of successful online marketing strategies.
You cannot easily obtain this kind of expertise at any price. I’ve been paid as much as $5,000 to write a single email message, and I don’t offer my services as a freelance-copywriter at all. I haven’t done AdWords campaign management for outside customers since 2004 and right now my time bills at $2500 per hour. I’ve got the qualifications to help you move your biz forward.
Now that I think about it, I can’t really think of anyone else who’s doing this. There’s just no substitute for getting this kind of help, in person, from a world-class practitioner.
I’ve been on the inside of literally hundreds of successful online businesses and I know what makes ’em tick. I know their idiosyncrasies, I know the odd success signals to look out for and I know the hidden pitfalls. Two days with me can change your life and your business. The confidence boost you get from this alone could make the difference, all by itself.
This is What You Get When You Come to 4-Man Intensive:
- 2 days with me and 3 other entrepreneurs
- For 1/2 day the entire group will exclusively focused on YOUR business.
- You get 3 personal coaching calls with me, scheduled as you desire, so you get thorough follow up. This is not a one-time head buzz. This is a way to apply lasting, strategic changes in your business.
- We will re-engineer your business from the inside out.
- At the intensive you will probably get your greatest discoveries from listening to the other members’ hot seats.
- Investment is $7500.

If You Wish, You Can Also Apply to my Highest Level Coaching Group, Roundtable:
4-Man Intensive is the most popular on-ramp to Roundtable, my highest level coaching group. Roundtable extends the Mastermind Concept to a larger pool of entrepreneurs: 9 to 14 razor-sharp online entrepreneurs gather together (2-3 days at a time) 3 times a year… and we beat each others’ brains out, reaching for higher and higher levels of success… Roundtable applicants submit additional information about their business and provide 2 personal references. “Why Should I Be In YOUR Mentoring Group Instead Of Anybody Else’s?”
The main reason to come to an Intensive is NOT so I can teach you about Google AdWords! (Seldom do we spend any more than 10% of our time talking about Pay Per Click anyway.)
No, the reason to come is so you can dominate your market – the way I prevail in the über-competitive AdWords market.
At 4-Man, I guide you through the market-domination minefield.
“You could charge $7,500 to attend a cocktail party open only to Perry’s highest level students, and the admission fee would be worth the relationships that came out of it. It’s a country club.”
– Travis Smith, Professor of Marketing, University of Missouri-Columbia Journalism School
My students collectively generate over a billion clicks a month.
There’s probably not a single person surfing the Internet who hasn’t seen an ad I helped someone write. I’m literally one of the most influential people on the web today. I’ve taught more than 300,000 people how to improve their AdWords results, and if you understand the 80/20 rule, that’s almost everybody that matters.
Once I was going to be in Mountain View, California and I called Google to see if I could stop by and visit with somebody. Left a voice mail message. An hour later, got a call back with an appointment already booked with senior AdWords management. They know me too. (From time to time I’ve even noticed them bidding on my name.)
AdWords is the biggest thing in advertising today (you know that already) but what’s most important to you is this:
It attracts the hottest new opportunities, and sharpest entrepreneurs in the world.
That’s why my coaching groups are a magnet for extraordinary talent and that’s why Roundtable meetings are so much fun. You’re in the company of the very best and brightest, the best experts in their respective fields.
The Ultimate Guide to Google AdWords (my brick-and-mortar bookstore book, published by Entrepreneur Press) is consistently one of the top ranking marketing and advertising books on Amazon and is also the #1 book title on Google advertising.
As of today there are 574,000 references to me and my work on the Internet:
I don’t just do Google! My Ultimate Guide to Facebook Advertising is consistently Amazon’s best-selling book on Facebook ads.
At seminars and conferences around the world I’ve shared the stage with Les Brown, Zig Ziglar, Harvey McKay, Dan Kennedy, Gary Halbert, Ken McCarthy and Jay Abraham.
My first-ever seminar had 300 people in attendance and I gave away almost two hundred Apple MacBook Pro notebook computers. I’ve consulted in over 200 different industries, from restaurants to psychotherapy, from cosmetic surgery to hi-tech manufacturing. I’ve seen some of the strangest and most unusual businesses, and my site overflows with testimonials.
I don’t really talk about this much, but I’m the only “Internet Guru” who owns a topic. There’s not one single copywriting expert who’s head and shoulders above all the rest. Or SEO expert. Or Affiliate marketing expert. Or email marketing expert. You could say that Jeff Walker owns product launches, but there is only one AdWords specialist who stands apart.
And it’s not like the landscape isn’t littered with would-be AdWords experts. Some of them are actually worth listening to. But the reason I’m positioned so well is: I know positioning. I know copywriting. And testing and tracking. And publicity. And speaking and Joint Ventures. And offline marketing, even print advertising and direct mail. I’m no one-trick pony. I’m successful because I practice what I preach in all these different areas.
You wanna dominate your market the way I dominate mine? Roundtable is the place to master that craft. Honestly, it’s the only place you’re going to discover some of the things I know. It’s the only-place where I hold nothing back.
Here’s a progress report from Greg Marsden:
“20 Million Clicks And 6 Billion Impressions”
I hit 2 BIG milestones back to back this week. On Wednesday morning my MCC AdWords client manager account broke 20,000,000 clicks and today it also broke 6,000,000,000 impressions. Those are pretty big numbers by most standards but what’s really remarkable is how much of that came since September when I started my first bobsled run.
At that point it was already at 9,000,000 clicks and 1.5 billion impressions but that took over 18 months to reach. Since my first run clicks have more than doubled in half the time and impressions Quadrupled! Here’s the highlights of how that happened:
1. Separated content and search traffic into different campaigns and learned how to write different ads for searchers vs. website browsers. For example for one popular product the structural changes led to 83% more website visitors, a 39% increase in sales, and a 65% increase in profits – all for $16,000 less in ad spend.
|Q3 (combined campaigns)||48,504,657||430,159||$198,293||$567,653|
|Q4 (total of separated campaigns)||140,664,215||789,886||$182,280||$792,362|
2. Having learned how to attract the right kind of content clicks by lots of experience focusing on them in the last few months I then was able to breakthrough with several “jet stream” ads on the content network this last 3 months. Some of my ads get 70,000,000 impression and 10,000 clicks a day when this happens so the ad needs to be razor sharp to attract just the right prospects and not a load of ‘curious’ clicks or you’ll wipe out in a hurry with a big bill to pay. Get it right and you get mass traffic at an incredibly low CPC.
3. Getting that part right was more a cumulative result of all the marketing insight that I gained from your program that went well beyond AdWords to sales copy, market research, testing methods and more fundamentally what marketing is really all about. Markets. How to identify them, understand them and how to reach them with the right message that attracts buyers.
Overall my experience has been very much like a Bobsled run where I’ve just keep accelerating faster and faster. I’ve had a few bumps and plenty of bugs in my teeth but this has been one great ride so far and extremely rewarding to my bank account balance to boot!”
Greg Marsden, Grand Rapids, Michigan
To be considered for Roundtable, you must first attend a 4-Man Intensive. We only open Roundtable slots in the Fall of every year. Fees will be discussed at the time of your application.
At Roundtable meetings we beat each others’ brains out, but we sure have a good time doing it.
You can read more about Roundtable HERE.
So what am I looking for in 4-Man participants?
I want people who:
- Are givers and not just takers. People who positively contribute to group discussions, who desire to help others and derive personal satisfaction by doing so
- Love the exhilaration of the hunt, the joy of challenge, the risk of failure and the thrill of success
- Steadily implement ideas and changes between each meeting and personally embrace Kaizen, continuous improvement
- Genuinely appreciate corrective advice from others. There’s an old Jewish proverb that says, “Correct a fool and he will hate you; instruct a wise man and he will be still wiser.” When I joined Carlton’s Insider’s Club in 2002, I told him: “John, give it to me straight, no sugar coating.” After he sent back the first critique, I asked if there was anything else. He said “Well, yes…” and beat me up some more.
Made me rewrite the whole thing. Some people really don’t want that! But I expect that from my peers and mentors. And I want Roundtable members who also want that from their peers and mentors.
- People who are not “whiners” and do not introduce negative-energy into the group. In the exceedingly unlikely instance where someone is a problem, I’ll ask that person to leave; it’s just better for everyone that way.
- Maintain confidentiality – keep private information private, and don’t “steal” opportunities from others. We’re going to be discussing confidential matters in the group, and everyone needs to be confident their information will be kept safe.
My Final Thoughts…
If you’re completely satisfied with your business, your marketing and your current direction, and you feel you are on track to reach all the goals you’ve set for yourself,… well if you felt that way, I doubt you’d have read this far.
Undoubtedly you understand the value of a mastermind. And you know that as you harvest the rewards of this group, your life will improve in so many ways.
I hope, having gone this far, that you won’t stop short, for whatever reason–skepticism, procrastination, cost–whatever the reason may be. You’ve gotten this far, and it’s now time to take action. Apply today and shortly after that, I’ll let you know whether or not your application has been approved. I’d hate to have to inform you that your application was not received in time. I look forward to receiving your application. But more than that, I look forward to working with you and coaching you.
I look forward to working with you for 2 intense days here in my Chicago office. It’s a fun place!
