As a tax reduction strategist for entrepreneurs, I breakdown every deal deal into two categories: 1) it made me money, or, 2) it cost me money.

“20 Million Clicks And 6 Billion Impressions”
I hit 2 BIG milestones back to back this week. On Wednesday morning my MCC AdWords client manager account broke 20,000,000 clicks and today it also broke 6,000,000,000 impressions. Those are pretty big numbers by most standards but what’s really remarkable is how much of that came since September when I started my first bobsled run.
At that point it was already at 9,000,000 clicks and 1.5 billion impressions but that took over 18 months to reach. Since my first run clicks have more than doubled in half the time and impressions Quadrupled! Here’s the highlights of how that happened:
1. Separated content and search traffic into different campaigns and learned how to write different ads for searchers vs. website browsers. For example for one popular product the structural changes led to 83% more website visitors, a 39% increase in sales, and a 65% increase in profits – all for $16,000 less in ad spend.

2. Having learned how to attract the right kind of content clicks by lots of experience focusing on them in the last few months I then was able to breakthrough with several “jet stream” ads on the content network this last 3 months. Some of my ads get 70,000,000 impression and 10,000 clicks a day when this happens so the ad needs to be razor sharp to attract just the right prospects and not a load of ‘curious’ clicks or you’ll wipe out in a hurry with a big bill to pay. Get it right and you get mass traffic at an incredibly low CPC.
3. Getting that part right was more a cumulative result of all the marketing insight that I gained from your program that went well beyond AdWords to sales copy, market research, testing methods and more fundamentally what marketing is really all about. Markets. How to identify them, understand them and how to reach them with the right message that attracts buyers.
Overall my experience has been very much like a Bobsled run where I’ve just keep accelerating faster and faster. I’ve had a few bumps and plenty of bugs in my teeth but this has been one great ride so far and extremely rewarding to my bank account balance to boot!”

- Love the exhilaration of the hunt, the joy of challenge, the risk of failure and the thrill of success
- Steadily implement ideas and changes between each meeting and personally embrace Kaizen, continuous improvement
- Genuinely appreciate corrective advice from others. There’s an old Jewish proverb that says, “Correct a fool and he will hate you; instruct a wise man and he will be still wiser.” When I joined Carlton’s Insider’s Club in 2002, I told him: “John, give it to me straight, no sugar coating.” After he sent back the first critique, I asked if there was anything else. He said “Well, yes…” and beat me up some more.
Made me rewrite the whole thing. Some people really don’t want that! But I expect that from my peers and mentors. And I want Roundtable members who also want that from their peers and mentors.
- People who are not “whiners” and do not introduce negative-energy into the group. In the exceedingly unlikely instance where someone is a problem, I’ll ask that person to leave; it’s just better for everyone that way.
- Maintain confidentiality – keep private information private, and don’t “steal” opportunities from others. We’re going to be discussing confidential matters in the group, and everyone needs to be confident their information will be kept safe.
My Final Thoughts…
If you’re completely satisfied with your business, your marketing and your current direction, and you feel you are on track to reach all the goals you’ve set for yourself,… well if you felt that way, I doubt you’d have read this far.
