Our Fall 2008 session (the one where the US economy jacknifed right in the middle of it) produced some killer success stories. This guy sells to the HOUSING INDUSTRY and REAL ESTATE – the WORST markets you can be in right now.
He cut his AdWords cost by $40K with a nice *uptick* in sales.
Meet Matt Roberts:
“I have been using Adwords to attract customers to my e-commerce site for about 1 year, to the tune of $55,000 per year. And based on what I thought I knew, it was going to be hard for your course to improve my results very much.
To be honest, here’s how I saw it going down:Â pay my fee, do everything you told me to do, see minor improvements, feel underwhelmed, then ask for a refund because it hadn’t been worth my time/money.
I was wrong.
Here is how it actually went:Â paid my fee, did my homework, overhauled my Adwords campaigns with new campaigns, new ad groups, I “peeled and stuck”, and put the 80/20 rule to work.
This immediately cut my Adwords spending from $55,000 to approx $15,000 per year and my sales actually increased slightly. And this all happened by the end of week 4.
$40,000 savings in 4 weeks.
As for sales, they are just as strong now as they were over a year ago. And keep in mind, I’m selling high-end plumbing supply products during what is supposedly the worst housing crisis we have seen since the Stone Age.

But that’s not all. Now he tells you about a real estate “side project” he worked on:
“Somewhere around week 2 or 3 of the Bobsled Run I rehabbed my campaign for the vacant warehouse and directed them to an improved informational page on our website. Over the next couple of weeks, put the peel/stick and some split testing to work, and my CTR climbed to around 40%.
Two weeks later we signed a lease for the space because someone out of town found our Adwords ad and called us. That lease will generate a total of $375,000 over the 5 year term of the lease. This is 100% attributable to the ideas and techniques I learned in the Bobsled Run.
And again, this comes at a time when the real estate market is sinking and the news tells us we’re all going down with it. At this point, I still can’t quite believe it, and my partner thinks I’m a genius.
And I’m not done…”
Now he tells you about his “hobby side business”:
“My weekends and evenings are usually spent with a camera in my hand. I’m a photographer, but really only for fun. I would drive across town to take portraits of your grandma’s dog if you asked me to. At no charge.
I just love taking photos. But why not get paid doing something you would do for free? I’ve had a photography website for a while but have never booked a job off of it.
So, with the help of the Bobsled Run and your techniques, I now have a great USP (who knew a photographer needed a USP?) and have been split testing like a madman, and I have already booked 3 jobs which will pay for 1/2 of the Bobsled Run fee (in fact, I have a photo shoot this weekend!) Never did I ever think that my little “hobby” would benefit from this course. But it has, and it will continue to grow.
This all sounds great, but what I’m most excited about is the fact that I’m just getting started. There is not enough time in my day to do all of the things I want to do with the information you have given me.
I have huge plans for split testing on my websites, tracking phone order conversions, using an autoresponder, etc. I daydream about what other business I can start and put these techniques to work on.
To be honest, my wife is sick of hearing me talk about Adwords. With no reservation whatsoever, I can honestly say that this course has been the single most important investment I have made in the past 5 years. Maybe 10 years.
That may sound like hyperbole, but it’s not. Even If I never make another dime from taking this course, that’s still a true statement. But I know I will continue to profit from this, and I cannot wait to see where it leads.”
