Ever since the global financial meltdown in October, I’ve seen a FLOOD of business opportunity seekers. Lots of people who are brand new to marketing, online marketing, and business in general are hunting for ways to make money.
Plenty of folks are getting a good ol’ fashioned education in the School of Hard Knocks. And LOTS of people are getting fleeced, cuz the “get rich quick” guys are out in droves, hunting for marks.
I’ve been watching this with some concern. So Dr. Glenn Livingston and I decided to record a conversation where we discuss the most common landmines that beginning and intermediate marketers step on.
We talk about how level-headed people create strong, stable businesses in relatively short periods of time – and what to do if your business isn’t as profitable as you’d like it to be.

Hello Mr. Perry…You seem to have a great knowledge and have a wide idea about internet marketing. As a new in internet marketing you gave me lots of idea on how to have a profitable business. You are a kind person because you help for us as a new in internet marketing. Thank you.
There are companies who will be willing to aid you with creating and hosting your website. You must be aware that free web hosting services are available online but you get what you pay for. Sometimes it’s best to shell out a few dollars to get a desired result as compared to free tools which only frustrate you and waste your time.
You’ve hit it on the head re what we newbies are going through. I’m on my 3rd month (nearing the 5th month burnout) and I admit that I was lured to internet marketing with the promise of a “get rich” scheme. I know in my head that it is too good to be true but at the same time it is hard to ignore all of these “successful” testimonials of how people get rich in a few weeks by just working 2 hours a day. But hearing you and Dr. Glenn puts things back into perspective. Thanks for showing us the truth behind the false promises.
Hi Perry
I’ve always held you in the highest regard for your great knowledge, your great feel for words, and your huge ability to cover complex issues with lucidity.
But in this interview you exceeded those high standards. Bravo.
And Glenn was pretty good too although perhaps his final sales pitch could be sharpened just a bit.
Best wishes
Tim
