I’ve been trying to be really good about this no-news thing…but, I ended up gorging on news for hours because of the events in Washington today…I spent the day watching people on Facebook going after each other about the new President. After 2 hours of following everything, my head literally hurt. Thank you for doing this video…you are absolutely on target!
Resist! Resist!
It’s much talk about “fake news” right now. But fake news is either an oxymoron or a tautology, isn’t it? Anyway, I’ve completely zoomed out from all the buzz and noice out there – even so called information. Perry Marshall is the last man standing in my world. Even his promotion mails and letters – his “Marketing Meltdown” letter, for example – is more valuable than the news and information out there.
Thanks for the kind words Patrick. Glad to have you on the adventure.
P.S. Here is an additional blog post from Perry Marshall regarding why you should not watch the news:

happy new year perry and planet perry.all guys of you who share with us all what you send or write.à vivement l’an 2017
Hi Perry. Could you please put up a transcript?
Very sorry, that was a spontaneous riff. Bottom line – the news should NOT be a regular part of your intellectual diet.
Thank you very much. This is something i really needed to hear. I’m a news addict because of my previous job as intake producer at a TV station. But i’m battling this addiction and recently installed a software that blocks news websites.
I have a feeling I am going to look back at this advice and thank God for you!
You opened my mind to look for opportunities that others will miss because they are paying attention in the wrong areas…. 80/20 cubed.
Thank you sir!
Hmmmmm so what I hear from you Perry and correct me if I am wrong. I need to narrow my information sources. I need to pick very carefully my wellspring of information; that is the people to whom I listen. In fact, I think you are telling me that, I need to bring a whole new quality to all parts of my life. I am of the opinion you are asking me not just to listen, but to bring discernment? I believe you are telling me that in 2017, I need to listen with acumen, intelligence, and sharpness. To have perspective on the so-called troubled waters as they will most likely not be as they seem. The real issues will probably come from behind and bite me on the bottom. Finally you are saying to me, that if I stick close to your good self, you will do your best to watch my back. I will begin with you Perry. You are on my list of valuable resources. I wish you all the best for 2017 :)
Thank you, Perry, your a good man :)
Right on all counts. And I will do my best to responsibly to my part. Happy New Year!
Dear Perry,
The famous writers in history were not objective, their manuscripts were written in the view of their leaders in order to manipulate the crowds as journalists do today. The only way to get an objective point of view is by doing cross reference a nalysis to extract to real facts. There is no such a thing as Pure Objective Writing. Since every writer has pre-assumption attitude and agenda.

Awesome message Perry! No one says it better than you!
I have some insight into how to “synchronize the head and the heart,” which also has to do with becoming a shaman, a master of one’s life–that’s what we’re really being called to do at this time. I’m polishing an ebook about this at the moment, about 70 pages, not too long. (Jesus was a shaman, and so was Moses, by the way.) Plus there are some eye-opening and enlightening signs in the Universe that show us what we’re going through at this moment of great transformation.
I will have my book available for free Kindle download early in January. I’ll let you know, maybe via Tiffany. Maybe give her a head’s up if you’re interested? Have a Happy New Year!
I think you are right, we are going through a major transformation right now. Yes, via Tiffany works great. Thanks!
You’re right, Perry. Turning off the news gives you a clear mind for the day. Many stories are pushing a certain political agenda – I know – I used to be a newspaper reporter. Keep coming with the insights.
A guy just told me today – he’s cut the news out and he’s been experiencing a lot more creativity. What you put in, gets churned around for quite awhile and burns up your CPU time.
Thanks Perry. Completely agree. We have to turn off the noise – I mean news!
Nice explanation! Thanks Mr. Marshal
