My daughter’s humanitarian concerns are currently directed towards…. Elves.

She wrote this and asked me to forward it to everyone I know.

I decided to put it on my blog and let the world decide. So – here goes:

Did you know that elves work 18 hours a day! And they get paid PENNIES per hour. HOW CRUEL CAN PEOPLE GET?!?

Santa Clause is usually looked upon as a harmless, jolly guy. But how many crimes has he actually committed Behind the scenes?

Elves have decided to take action and make a petition, a petition against Santa as the head of Elf management. Don’t sign for me or just because of this stupid blog entry. SIGN FOR THE ELVES.

Oh, and now that you have heard about our petition, listen to why you should sign:

There are not many things said about how hard the elves work. In all the movies, people see jolly little people smiling and quietly inspecting bikes and hoops. But what does really happen in those workshops? What do they really say and do? In those crowded workshops you see sweaty elves, gasping for a smidgen of air in the what should be called sweatshops that have NO air conditioning when it gets humid, NO heating when the north pole weather kicks in and they are shivering inside their ill heated mukluks.
Please sign. Do it for the ELVES:

  1. I would tell the elves to form a union, but that hasn’t worked out so well for the auto industry. Maybe somebody needs to put together a seminar where elves can learn new skills and boost their market value? ;)

Cute post. Have a great Christmas!
