As of today, I am 39.9617 years old. 2 weeks from today is the day!

On Friday, April 10, I hit the big 4-0. And I’m celebrating in a big way.

If you want to get the celebration announcements, you need to sign up here.

The very first thing you get when you sign up is a really cool discussion between Jonathan Mizel and John Reese. In this interview, Jonathan explains:

When you’re 20 years old you’re OK with “chasing deals.”

When you get to be 40 or 50 you want assets that produce income predictably and don’t require you to constantly be on the hunt.

(Can’t think of a more appropriate MP3 to be listening to right now!)

You’ll get a couple more things:

-Sale prices on a bunch of my products, coming soon
-A series of all-star teleseminars on hot topics that immediately impact your business. Names and faces TBA.

Register here and join the festivities!

  1. Hi Perry,

Thank you very much for your marketing advice.

I’m trying to improve the number of my website visitors.

    Bye.

    Danilo GARGIULO

  2. Greetings from the UK….have a great Birthday Perry and thanks for the shared knowledge over the years

  3. hello Perry happy birthday to you i am allso April.10 but i am younger than you :) i hop to be like you one day . you are my best teacher …

  4. Hi Perry,

You’re welcome for the French Hip Hop videos (that’s the good way to call them I think). Alicia Keys is one my favorites, and she’s a hip hop artist too if I’m not mistaking, it’s a bit difficult to say these days considering the different kind of music that they perform.
Have a great birthday on the 10th and have a thought for us (if you have time!).

Kind regards et bon anniversaire :)

  5. Loreto,

I wouldn’t call what I do “motivational tapes” but I am in the “book tape and seminar business.” No doubt about that. I sell information.

And yes, Amway was a book tape and seminar business.

But there is a huge, huge difference. Several actually.

First, I am not teaching people that the way to make money in life is to sell my products. Or that the way to make money is to teach people to make money who make money by teaching people to make money.

Second, Amway tapes taught you how to build an Amway business. (Which of course was just teaching teachers to teach.) They taught you other things but only indirectly. My products teach you how to build ANY online business, whether it’s a furniture repair shop, a membership site for cancer survivors or headphones for iPods.

Third, MLM teaches you “duplication.” Which in marketing, is suicide. I teach you differentiation. Unique Selling Proposition.

So yes, I sell education and I sell it without shame. My products work and I guarantee them. Oh, that’s the fourth thing. At the end of every Amway tape was “Purchase of this program is optional and non-refundable.”

  6. Hi Perry. Happy 40th!

I love your emails and your newsletters.

I just finished reading your last one – I appreciate the insight. However after looking at your Birthday Celebration Offer – I feel like you’re trying to sell off your own brand of motivational seminars/tapes/etc. that sound similar to the amway tapes you mention.

Don’t want to rain on your parade – I do find the offer quite enticing. I’m mulling it over.

  7. Perry,

Happy Birthday! I’ve been learning from you for a while now, especially the 80/20 principles. Thank you for teaching me and all of us!

Your birthday bash is exactly what I needed to pitch the phenomenal training value to the company I work for. I look forward to receiving and learning from all the materials.

I work in a niche industry and am planning to launch my first information product. Very exciting! The largest industry organization has agreed to push the upcoming e-book to it’s members.

Thank you for being a blessing, Perry! Psalm 127:1

  8. Hey Perry – Happy big 40!!! I’m only six years behind you, so my condolences! (teasing). I thought it was at age 50 or 60 that you get the “over-the-hill” black balloons?

Anyway, thanks for all the great content! I look forward to viewing your info for another 40 years!

    Cheers,
    Lisa

  9. Hey Perry,

How cool is this…we were born 2 days apart. I will hit the big 4-0 on April 8th.

Glad you are making such a difference in the world. I enjoy your information.

    Sabrina

  10. Dominique,

Thanks for the French Hip Hop videos (is that what I should call them?) – my musical vocabulary in that part of the world is rather limited. I’d say the closest thing I have to anything like that is Alicia Keyes. Not really the same thing.

    Donald,

Happy 80th birthday! It’s never to late to learn, or attempt new stuff.

    Nhys,

You are always welcome to lurk – there’s plenty of stuff on the site to benefit from. I think of the old Jewish tradition of letting people glean from the fields – not stripping every last bit of crop but leaving some for others with limited resources. Apply the knowledge and make financial gains.

  11. Heck – you’re still 10 years younger than my Dad… and ten times more. Um. Well-versed when it comes to marketing. ;) Ahem!

Lookin’ forward to buying your shizzlenits. :P

  12. Hi Perry,

I have been a member of your newsletter for many years now, and I gladly bought many of your ebooks. Your tips are excellent and some of your mp3 blew my mind. It is a bit difficult to do not sound like a guru follower, but you did help me big time regarding my understanding of internet marketing, so what else am I supposed to say? So, first of all thank you so much for your help and second of all, Bon Anniversaire (it’s french for happy birthday :)
Enjoy your 40th with your family and please have a thought for all the members of your newsletters when you will blow your candles, as I believe that many of us would be happy to help you celebrate if we could (but then again, you may not have enough room for 1,000s of people bouncing around and clapping hands in your sitting-room!).

Ok, I thought of a birthday present – a song – but here was my problem -dunno your kind of music.
So since the most talented, articulate and smart french singer is MC Solaar, I decided to copy and paste some youtube songs for you to listen to (sorry I don’t have them on mp3).
The thing about MC Solaar is that his lyrics are literary, either poetic, peaceful or meaningful – nothing to do with most of the rap from the USA, this Solaar guy has class and intellect. I put you 3 different style of Solaar’s songs.

    A classic, Nouveau Western:

La belle et le bad boy (rythmic but peaceful)

One of his best, Solaar pleure (the story of a good guy sent in hell):

    Enjoy :)

  13. I tried to find a way to reply to your email I got the other week, honoring us entrepeneurs. It came at exactly the right time for me and it moved me to tears. I now have it stuck on my wall above my desk.
I have been taking advantage of all your free material for a long time and it overwhelms me how generous as well as knowledgeable you are. I wrote a Blog post especially about you on my site because I couldn’t find any other way to thank you. Now I’ve got this little comment box, so I will repeat myself- Thank You Perry for all you give us cyberchallenged business people. I wish I had the money to take part in some of your paid programs! One day, when your advice gets me the income I need, I will be paying for your services. In the meantime, please know that us guys who stay on your mailing lists and never pay for anything really appreciate what you give away so open-handedly.

  14. Happy Birthday to a fine young man..I have learned a lot from your posts and lessons,
we can sense a good guy under all the stuff..Keep it up…

I will be 80 on the 31 march..my blog is the first in 11 years of trying..

Try to stay 40 for as long as you can, at least a year as the rest become more difficult.. Happy Birthday

  15. Hi Perry
A happy birthday to the best email writer online :-)
I adore your writing skills – A true master.

Don’t worry about being 4o – this is where live really gets fun :-)

    Best wishes
    Tina

  16. Perry,
I have been quietly learning from your advice and experiences for a few years now.
Through your teachings I’m cementing a path to financial freedom.

It is said most successful business owners only decide to commit to starting their own businesses at the age of 40.
You have shown that opportunities are there for people of any age.
I hope to meet you in future to thank you in person.

Best wishes for your important milestone, Happy birthday.

  17. Perry,

Your emails and copywriting just keep getting better and better! I open every single one. Infused with great information, facts and personality.

You’ve NOT risen above the ‘noise and hype’ of the Internet Marketing Industry as I used to think you had.

Instead, you’re on a completely different level. Quality, value, trust and caring for your customers is what separates you from the pack.

You’ve inspired me to build quality sustainable businesses that make a difference to people’s lives rather than money makers.

    Thank you so much.

Also have a very happy birthday. I sure look forward to buying some more of your stuff.

    Kenneth Rearden

    Happy birthday.
