I accept the challenge. Just a few of us can change the world -so let’s get to steppin’! “Whatever you think you can do or dream you can do it – boldness has genius power and magic in it” Goethe
I totally bought into what you said in the video, Perry.
When I first saw the subject line of this email, I knew I would be interested in what you had to say. I got bogged down with some projects, so I made sure I flagged the email to read later. Well, here I am a month and a half later catching up on my Planet Perry email. :-D
I have big dreams of wiping out sex trafficking and poverty throughout the world. I believe this can be done by doing what you said in an 80/20 video. You said that the way to improve everyone’s quality of life is if I move up and make room for someone to fill the spot that I was in.
When everyone does that, we can move the population of the world above the poverty line and forcing innocent people to work in the sex trade won’t even be an option.
You helped me get over the head trash I had about becoming too successful or having too much money. Now I need to make up some ground so that I can work towards these big dreams. :-)
Thanks for continuing to bring the best out of your followers for the greater good!
Best regards,
George Krahn
Thank you for this video. I totally resonate with what you say. Now I know I’m not alone.
I always had a bigger vision, att bigger mission than make money and build a big company. That bigger mission is what help me to get out of the bed every morning. Sure, I love the lifestyle that money can give me, but I think I would eventually just stop and live on the stash och cash that I’ve made. But my mission is so big that I need to keep building and develop my business.

Thanks for this Perry. I’m inspired by the fact that there is something greater behind the business and marketing.
Living in Israel, I’m not far (in physical distance!) from my own BHAG of creating a lasting brilliant solution here that respects the narratives and needs of all sides.
My question is, what do you do with thoughts like ‘greater minds than mine have not found solutions’ or other self-doubts (presuming you still have a few!).
Warmly,
Eli
What all of you are saying is great. Steve Job also got inspired by reading this great book
Called an autobiography of a yogi he liked it so much that he gave one to everyone who attended his last day on earth. The best to all of you.
Thanks,
Sam
Hi Perry and staff,
I am not a fan of having to watch videos online.
If you would be kind enough to provide a transcript of the video I will be more inclined to read what Perry has to say.
I can skim the text to see if I want to spend my time reading it (plus I read faster than the video speed) versus if you only give me the option to watch a video, then I will usually default to
‘I am not going to watch it’ Since, I have seen no perceived value in using my time this way.
Thank you for your attention and time.

Hi Perry,
This definitely resonates with me. Thank you for the wake-up call.
From childhood on I had visions about completely revolutionizing our worldwide transport and logistic systems.
What we have now, i.e., cars, trains, ships etc looks *ancient* to me. :-)
My visions are about something like a completely automated worldwide logistic system that runs primarily in underground tunnels.
Automated means that transport will be easier, cheaper and faster than ever.
Like transmitting and distribution of information became infinitely easier and cheaper and faster with the Internet. ( compare email with snail-mail. )
It also means that we can transport small items quickly and cheaply from A to B.
( Like a fresh pizza for example. But it can also be used to connect several just-in-time factories. )
It should not be limited to transport of things but also provide travel for humans.
It will remove (or very significantly reduce) the problem of traffic accidents, which is a major problem of the car-road-system.
This is all somehow related to the concepts which are now called “Physical Internet”.
(But I had the ideas before I knew about the Internet, so these ideas came from another source, in hind-sight it may have been a series of memos from the head-office.)
The system should run in underground tunnels so we can enjoy the surface of the planet without interference from traffic infrastructure. ( This requires automation for planning and building tunnels, i.e., massive cost reduction by several orders of magnitude. )

Through the day-to-day struggles of living my life I have often forgotten and suppressed these visions for years in a row.
But the topic keeps popping up, like you said in your video, even without me doing anything consciously in that direction.
For example, the current form of my own software business was started as a software development project for a mission critical screenrecorder used in metro-railway control centers, which I was asked to do while I was still a student in university, about 17 years ago. I managed to keep the rights on the software.
I tried really hard to sell the software to non-mission-critical customers because I thought that’ll be easier and less risky, but that never really took off.
But several years ago a customer in the area of aviation approached me. And it feels very good to serve that customer.
Most of the time I was running my business besides an employee job, but I was kicked out of this employee job about year ago.
And that was good, too.
Even when I am sometimes struggling with cash-flow. But hopefully that’ll be a temporary challenge.
***
Even when I am struggling I get dragged to the more innovative side of transport and logistics.
For example I had to give up owning a car for financial reasons a while ago.
Now I drive electric cars which I can rent for a reasonable price from a recently-founded local electric-only car-sharing provider, when I need a car.
Due to the first-hand experience I feel that electric cars are a significant step forward, but they are still cars and therefore far away from a completely automated logistic system.
***
Recently I got another vision: This is about making deployment of photovoltaic a lot easier and cheaper. Nowadays, photovoltaic modules are available for an interesting price. So the challenge shifts to electronics and mechanical installation, etc.
Making photovoltaic really cost-effective and deploying them on a massive scale is maybe a necessary intermediate step to do, in order to be able to provide the energy required for such a logistic system. ( and solving some other problems with our energy systems by the way. )

I stopped talking to people about all that because most think that I am dreaming too big and high in the sky etc, and they rather made fun of me. But in primary school, I had one friend who I could talk to about these things. He also dreamed big but in a completely different direction. Unfortunately I lost contact with him.
I feel that Planet Perry is the right place for these kind of visions.
Chris
It is most certainly the right place for these kinds of visions. Glad to have you.
This comment should support and validate your video. Because, Perry. I’ve dreamed and fantasized and obsessed over 3 things that some might consider BIG. That is:
1) I’m going to pave a road on Mars. This road will be a symbol of a much larger city to come, which I will help build.
2) I going to build and deploy machines to harvest helium-3 from the freakin’ moon. Helium-3, once we iron out all the logistics, will be a cleaner and more abundant source of fuel for us.
Then 3) I’m going to create organic food chain. An organic food chain that GROWS THE PLANTS IN THE STORE, ON THE SPOT.
This is not only going to be ‘proof of concept’ that the organic food is actually organic. That’d be a good USP (Unique Shift-In-Humanity Proposition), sure.
But there’s a better “USP” I think. Even though it’s weird, it’s going to be the driver of our customer’s behavior. That is: It just ‘feels healthier’ to pick your own veggies.
Overall, this comment should validate your video. Because, certain people ARE thinking big.
Certain people ARE obsessed with “improving the consciousness” of 1,000’s of people. Certain people ARE separating themselves from the bad apples… so that they become strong trees… and then spread thousands of seeds that will become even stronger trees.
And a friend of mine, and myself, are two of these people.
We’re working on these ideas now, in the order you see ’em.
So, as a final thought, thanks for posting this video. ‘Wealth-Accepting’ videos like these… they’re important. At least to me.
Thanks, Perry. Maybe I’ll talk to you soon.
I salute you for having the courage to state such big dreams in public. We welcome that here.
Yes, I salute you too!
It’s awesome how naturally you allow yourself to say “I want to be an Isaac Newton”. I believe many people, while not everyone, secretly have this kind of aspiration, but very few would dare declare it publicly as you do. You don’t even say “I wish”, “I’d like”, “I dream”, but “I want to” – and it doesn’t sound pretentious. But, then again, after hearing you, why should it? What a great goal to have in life. Thank you for that.
Perry, It’s really exciting to see you move in this direction!! The first time I heard you speak publicly five years ago, you ended with “Hey, how many Rolex watches do you really need? (and) What are you doing with your life to make a difference in this world?”. I remember thinking, “Holy cow, this guy is dangerous in a really good way”. And now you are pulling together those people that hear your challenges.
I hope many Planet Perry people join you and work on their bigger picture life purpose. Count me in. Looking forward to seeing this unfold. Perhaps if we’ve applied enough 80/20 Productivity principles, we’ll have more time to put energies into our cause. Bill
Bill,
It’s a joy to have you here with us. Dream BIG.
Perry, I am impressed! A very few people in the world really seek go that deep and aspire so high to coach others into the true greatness. That was inspiring, thanks.
Hi Perry,
I think hear what you are saying. I know for me, life is far more and bigger than money. Money is only unit measures to conveniently assit with trading. I think this is what you are saying. Money for Perry is about giving Perry and those who have this dream to enhance the world for the better, the ability to buy time.
If I become a good manager and money is flowing in because I have built income streams that do not require my every waking moment to manage, thenI will have purchased or organised the time do something better for others. Some kind of service, that I have the time to perform where I do not get caught. Selfless service. Seeking no recognition. But because I can, I do :). I think this what you are saying?
History is filled with people creating communities who by being together, they lower their needs that are required for themsves to excist and hence, free themsves to assit and work with the poor to elevate suffering, for instance. Not everyone can live this way.
At the other end, a good manager of money and time could free themselves up to do a similar type of thing. I think this what you are saying Perry? If so I am in :)
I have and am fulfilling my ambition to assist the addicted to lead and find another way. I never talk about this and for me to mention it here in a forum such as this is beyond rare. I am here outside my work life, for the mentally ill. I want to do more and learning to make money efficiently, with less time doing it would buy me more time to work with the marginalised.
Others will have compley different things they want to do with there time in service , this is just my thing I want to and am doing :)
I hope I have caught on and understood what you are saying Perry? All the best :)
You have caught on. Thank you for speaking up!
Hey Perry,
You are most definitely talking to me. My main impetus for entering the world of entrepreneurship was two-pronged:
One, was that I have always been fascinated with renaissance men or polymaths such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Pavel Florensky, Isaac Newton, Benjamin Franklin, etc. It is a personal ambition of mine to be one. And I realised that I need time to fulfill my ambition. And to have time, I need to be financially independent. Hence, the only course of action I saw was entrepreneurship.
Two, before becoming an entrepreneur, I had a career in the social service sector. I loved what I was doing but there were issues. First, I was starving – the social service sector do not pay well. Second, a lot of the social programs I conducted were dependent on government grants and donations. I didn’t like that. These monies usually came with strings attached and more often than not, they were not enough. That’s when I realise that as a successful entrepreneur, I can use as much of my own money as possible to develop world-changing programs.
So, what I’m saying is, you’ll be seeing more of me on Planet Perry… ;)
Hi Guys,
Perhaps it’s just my machine but it looks like the video gets frozen around the 5 minute mark.
Thanks,
Ben
Works on this end…
Hi Perry,
Would the term BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) apply here? And is your goal/BHAG is to “Build a company that will last for 100 years?”
Sure. 100 years, that’s one of ’em.
Dear Perry,
Your message has resonated with my feelings and desires at this point in my life.
I indeed feel that I wish to achieve financial freedom and substantial financial reserves – not for personal indulgence, but for the free time required to prolifically think, create and build systems that will leave a significant positive impact on this planet – especially for the less fortunate, whether these be our fellow human beings living in 3rd world countries and those suffering from health problems, behavior and//or social skill deficiencies.
I will be happy to expand discussion on this.
Have a great weekend,
David
When I was in college, my grandfather died of cancer.
A few years later, a friend of mine died of leukemia when he was only thirty-two years old, leaving behind a wife who was eight months pregnant.
Then my father died of cancer after being on oxygen for eight years.
Statistics show seven out of ten people will die of heart disease, cancer or stroke.
One of my goals is to help prevent that from happening to you.
You can beat the odds. You do not have to be another health statistic.
Perry, sadly too few people will ever understand what have said in this video.
