About 3 years ago I invited Mike Marshall to be our special guest speaker at a Roundtable meeting.

Roundtable is my highest level peer advisory group, and members fly in from across the globe to attend 3X per year.
A handful of SEO people I knew raved about this guy, and he was willing to come in and speak to my peeps.
His talk was riveting. Not because he had a bunch of amazing search engine techniques (and of course, he did) but because – with degrees in philosophy AND theology AND mathematics, had a w-i-d-e-r apprehension of how to break down the search engine game than anybody else I had ever met – or have met since.
Most people would never imagine that a deep background in philosophy, theology and math would make for a FORMIDABLE analyst with a deep bag of tricks. It also made for scintillating dinner conversation, where we didn’t talk about SEO at all. (SEO was the shallow end of Mike’s pool. Mike even makes it into a footnote in my Evolution 2.0 book on page 347.)
Mike was the kind of guy Google hires – which is NOT the kind of guy who typically sits in his basement and tries to game Google’s system.
I’d like you to listen in on this 80-minute clip where Mike upends the current game of SEO and sets it on a new foundation:
Fast forward a couple of years – Mike unexpectedly dies of a heart attack, leaving behind a wife and kids, in not-outstanding financial shape. So Ken McCarthy has put together an “in honor of Mike Marshall” free content series.
You can get the series here:

Ken is inviting people who appreciate the content to donate to the Mike Marshall Memorial Fund.
