The day we left for China, our neighbor snapped a picture of us all eating breakfast. I titled it “Our last meal as a family of six.” Kinda weird, knowing you’re gonna leave and come home with an extra kid, huh?
From the day we arrived from China to the beginning of the New Year was a very strange, surreal time.
My most famous ever blog post is called “Perry’s Greed.” It’s about how, at an evening seminar in Chicago, a bunch of people asked me out to lunch. I told them, “If you pay my fee I’ll be happy to sit down with you.”
This made a lot of people angry.
A week ago today we touched down from our 13 hour plane ride from Hong Kong. That’s a long trip under any circumstances. It’s even more interesting with a 1 1/2 year old who’s only known you for 2 weeks!
She was a little clingy and a little fussy but other than that – great. Couldn’t possibly ask for better.
This entire process has gone w-a-a-a-y better than expected. A month before we went to China…
