The Death of Affiliate Marketing on Google
Yesterday on a teleconference Amit Mehta announced the death of affiliate marketing as we know it, on Google. (MP3 is available to R-Club members.)
The days of “thin affiliates” brokering clicks on the Big G are over.
10 Predictions for 2010-2019
1. In 2010, Google will announce a procedure for “hearings and fair trials” for banned advertisers. This will enable them to play “Good Cop-Bad Cop” with you if your accounts get shut down.
Selling the Impossible Proposition
A couple of years ago I sent my top customers and affiliates a Christmas gift. It was Caroline Alexander’s beautiful book “The Endurance” which chronicles Earnest Shackleton’s treacherous journey to the South Pole and back, in 1914.
It may literally be the world’s greatest adventure story. He and 27 men sailed to Antarctica with a team of dogs and plenty of supplies with plans to travel all the way across the continent in the summer.

Yes I have a good affiliate program, and yes my products sell well, but:
Merry Christmas and the Dance of Equality, Technology and Spirituality
The other day I was talking about the election with some friends. One of my most-trusted insiders, Michael Cage commented, “One of the things that defines the generation that elected Barack Obama is we just don’t relate to an us-vs-them mentality when we look out at the rest of the world. Everyone in the world is
Perry’s Greed
“…Even old John D Rockefeller realised his greed and started giving his money away. Then theres Perry Marshall he won’t go to lunch with eager students and share his knowledge without getting paid. You can rationalize all you want, but your response was arrogant and greedy. Let me summarise, what you did was Bull !@#$%…”
