You might want to let your friend know: she’s probably got a virus on her PC that did this, or else her email account’s been broken into — maybe both.

You know what, funny enough I received a very similar email about 3 weeks ago – FROM MYSELF! :)

Someone in China (thank you IP lookup) hacked into my Google account and blasted everyone in my contacts with a very similar email. Then they decided for good measure to erase all my contacts and delete all my archived mail.

LOVELY. It was clever though, I had 2 family members and 3 clients (that seems wrong) that called my direct number and offered to help. It’s funny how the cleverest scams are the most simplistic.

This is a Nigerian scam Perry. They (scammers) use the UK to gain legitimacy into their scams.

I almost fell for a Toyota Tacoma craigslist scam about a month ago. These people are clever.

You gotta be kidding. This looks exactly like those scams that often originate from Ghana or Nigeria. The NULL subject would have probably got me to open it, but the first sentence would have made me hit delete.

Yeah, scams all over have gotten more clever in the last year or so. I can usually sniff them, but lately a few have gotten me to go one click further than I usually would.
