We held a 48 hour contest for our new students to get their Facebook ads and landing pages up and running. Stuart Jordan sent in this glowing report about his passion which is Dog Rescue:
Facebook Ads Success Story: 90% Cost Savings
Thomas Meloche of HomeSchoolAdvantage.com sells a software tool for accelerated learning. He budgeted $20,000 for advertising on Facebook and getting beta testers. But it only took $2,000 to get the results he wanted – 90% less than he thought.
In this interview, he gives away his $5,000 “Spaghetti Sauce” principle (and yes I agree, it really will turn into a $5,000 tip for some folks!) and talks about the difference between Google advertising and Facebook advertising:
Building the Facebook Compatible Business
Just as there’s a series of events that happen as a person comes through a physical front door of a physical store, there’s a specific set of events after the person clicks on your pay per click ad.
Tens and hundreds of thousands of new businesses and billions of dollars grew out of that explosive new development.
So it will be with Facebook ads.
But Facebook is a different animal.
Scott Fox interviews Perry Marshall
Scott Fox, author of e-Riches 2.0: Next-Generation Marketing Strategies for Making Millions Online, interviewed me about Pay Per Click. We had a wide-ranging conversation about….
"Squeeze" Pages & the Case for Conversion Optimizer
If you use Google’s conversion code on your thank-you pages to track actions, leads, opt-ins or sales, Google Conversion Optimizer allows you to bid on the cost of the lead instead of the cost of the click.
You set your target Cost Per Action and Google’s bots go out and look for more traffic that converts at that price.
So let’s say you normally pay $1.00 per click…
Google Adwords Videos
Win Of The Week Some friends of ours put together a really clever site called www.BoostCTR.com. It’s a crowdsourcing site for improving your Google ads. Ad writers compete with each other to increase your Click Thru Rate. You only pay when there’s a winner. Or if you love the art of micro-copywriting you can cash in on that, by improving … Read More

Yesterday on a teleconference Amit Mehta announced the death of affiliate marketing as we know it, on Google. (MP3 is available to R-Club members.)
The days of “thin affiliates” brokering clicks on the Big G are over.
10 Predictions for 2010-2019
1. In 2010, Google will announce a procedure for “hearings and fair trials” for banned advertisers. This will enable them to play “Good Cop-Bad Cop” with you if your accounts get shut down.
What I learned about Google from Dan Kennedy
Today I’m known all over the world as “The Google AdWords Guy” but I was hanging out in Planet Dan before Google even existed. Let me tell you something I learned from Dan early on, that helped me when Google ads suddenly came on the scene.
Dan started doing infomercials when they were brand-spanking new. A law had changed which suddenly allowed TV stations to sell big chunks of airtime to advertisers. Prior to that, TV stations just went dark at night.
Suddenly for a few hundred bucks, a TV stations was willing to leave the lights on and stick a videotape in the tape machine.
I remember this one time – I’m guessing it was 1984 or something – I was watching TV late one night and…
Google knows more about you than your WIFE
My tech-savvy next door neighbor Elizabeth sent me an article about Consumer Watchdog who is deeply concerned that “Google knows more about you than the FBI.”
Google knows every mental itch you’ve ever tried to scratch in the last 5 years. Heck yeah baby…
Dude, Google knows more about you than your WIFE.
